After reading your post again.. questions:

What is this about sign in failing at payment portal?

Also I was told to always submit "ALL" documents for the I-864 at one time and then when I email the DS-230 to send in all at once also.. Sound right?

when NVC has all documents, and received yer monies - you won't be able to sign in , any more, at the online payment portal. Which is a good thing.

ya - when possible, submit all documents at one time, per 'thing'. sometimes this isn't possible, some ppl get bounced emails from NVC if the filesize is over 10 megabytes. sometimes it's 20 megabytes. it's hard to know, exactly, what the limit is today (or yesterday, or tomrrow) until you make the attempt. 'all at once' is best, but sometimes is not possible because of filesize and pdf file resolution. Luckily, CutePDF allows one to change the output resolution when printing to PDF.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

So far so good.. I will keep on them and call them again today... I called this morning and no GZO number yet. But you never know until you try and try again.. They "NVC" says ok to send in I-864 Now with the GUZ Number because of their "Marriage" of GUZ & GZO Numbers... Still warry of this; if I do will I get an automated response? How will I know that "They" received my I-864 package?

Suggest you not send anything IN until you get the GZO #. Seriously !

It's hard to say if you will get any response back when you send something in. Some do, some don't. You'll get a bounce email, of course, if the file attachment is too big.

Since you'll be emailing it all in one day :D -

practice that now, send it off to some other email account that you own, and check for the file size on receiving.

Good Idea about sending the "email" to my other email accounts to see about file size. I'll get that done today also. So, I will call again and see if I can get my GZO number.. Do not need any issues..

We'll as you said,, Wait.. Just called the NVC again and talked with another woman whom seemed a bit more up on the Electronic processing. As She said to Wait until I have the new GZO Number.. Still No number ... :hehe: When? How long you think it should take? She confirmed it was "Approved" but still nothing, no number..... We'll I will get everything ready to go and create the Cover page and convert it to pdf with everything I am sending.. I think I'll only send 6 monts of Pays stubs now,, but will take 2.5 years with to the interview.. Never can have enought with Guangzhou Consulate.. Anything else you can think of I can do while waiting for the GZO Number? then After that ,, just send in the emails.... Oh... Who will give us an interview date? NVC or the Consulate?

Hi Darnell:

just a quick question: Do you know if NVC sets the interview date for Guangzhou Electronic Processing? or does it come from the Consulate itself? I hope NVC because I have read it will be within 30 days... true?

NVC sets the appointment, within 5 days of 'case complete' at NVC, for some date 15 to 45 days past the setting date.

Thanks again... sounds like it is pretty quick after NVC is done.. Geez 15 days.. that would be tight to get a ticket and get out there....... 30 days would be best.... Called NVC again.. this time was told I should have GZO within 2 days.. Seems as if things happen a lot faster after USCIS and doing the electronic processing..

Hi Darnell,

Just a though. Since this is all regarding electronic filing and most of us dont have that option should there be a seperate thread for this activity? I just though it might reduce confusion and traffic. Sometimes I read this and think I am missing something then realize it not applicable to me. Like I said Its just something to consider.

Tom - eh - it's it OWN TOPIC, I still think it's in the right forum. Might think to move it to China Forum later, not sure about that, yet.

I realize that this is about the Electronic Processing via the US Consulate in Guangzhou. I am hoping that my experiences here also will help others going through the same Consulate. Sorry if this is boring or mis-leading to others. But I am sure that any and all of you would do the same to get your wife here. The information provided to me has been very valuable and has assisted me in many ways. :D

Current we are awaiting our GZO number for electronic processing. And Darnel, Yes You are correct WAITING is a must for the GZO Number. I also took your advice and sent a few test emails.. All come out to about 20 Megs.. Only way to cut it down is to exclude some information and put into yet another email.. Such as in the subject line put case number - Part 1 or Part 2.. What do you think about that, or do you think 20 - 21 megs is ok? I asked this question to NVC, they did not seem to have an answer on that one.
