No , yer golden - it IS yer topic, after all.

That was specifically directed to 'yokogurl99' member, she attempted to hijaak yer topic with an unrelated question. The only thing that was common was 'NVC' - the rest of it so off topic, I had to spit in a bucket to calm down ;)

Ok Thank You, by the way just got our GUZ Number  Now I guess this is what i need to do:

  • Wait for the $70.00 Affidavit of Support Processing Fee Bill
  • Once Bill Received, go to the on-line Site and pay the bill
  • Wait for the receipt
  • Send in our I-864
  • Send in the OPTIN Email with the DS-3032 Attached

Am I missing something? Geezzz. all of sudden my head in spinning... I need to write this down or else I'll forget it.. I guess I need that stuff for the memory... what do you call it??? :bonk:

since you have GUZ # - yer WIFE should send in the OPT IN Email Now.

Prior to that 'other stuff' that you listed.

The OPT IN /DS-3032 'process' runs in parallel, not serial.

YOU DID WANT SOME SPEED, yes?

Do the DS-3032 NOW, err - SHE does the DS-3032/OPT IN - NOW.

FWIW - you can PAY with the GUZ # - but -

DO NOT SEND IN the 'sets' (I-864, DS-230 ) until the casefile has been converted at NVC (meaning a GZO number has been issued). Once it's converted and you have GZO #, send in via email those sets. There might be small confusion if the conversion happens between 'AOS paid' and 'IV fee bill ready to be paid' if the casefile is converted BETWEEN those two time ticks - and thats OK - simply log in to the portal with the GZO number instead of the GUZ number. IIRC, the IIN doesn't change, at all.

Good Luck !

Am I missing something?

Ya- you should print the wiki page on paper, carry it around in yer pocket, read it when you have free time today.

I'm a fan of reading outside with the sun on my skin - helps for clarity, always.

Good Luck !

Dan - refresh this page - I've added in some stuff, buddy.

I'll have to get with the wife tonight, she is sleeping now. It is 0115 in Guangzhou now. But as far as paying the AOS fee now, it says on the Payment page I need to have a Invoice Identification Number.. I do not have this yet. From what I am reading I cannot proceed on the payment until this. Is there a way around paying without the Invoice Identification Number? Would be nice to get this paid. I will get the OPTIN done ASAP. !!

Sorry about this next question.. :bonk: .. can you give me the url to the post you are referring to? I have printed so many things out.. I have gone through 3 reims of paper by now. More to come I am sure.

Now, I have formated an email to send in the OPTIN email with the correct information in the subject line. First and foremost "OPTIN" then the case Number GUZ20106XXXXX.

Anything else I can do now? I have all I-864 documents in PDF format already to go. I have everything printed that I am taking with to Guangzhou for the wife. I guess just wait again for the letter from NVC? Oh, after all of this is said and done, you think it would be of a benefit if I wrote on this site the list of documents I have prepared for this "journey"?

review that stupid GUZ P3 Supplemental form - the download link is on the wiki. It must be sent in with the DS-230 set. It's an ugly form. Best way to handle this? Print it out, fill it out by hand (anywhere on the form), scan in, convert to PDF.

I've printed out the P3 Form, but it needs the wife's Signature, correct? I've also created a "supplement attachemtn" In other words, I've outlined the formatting of the P3 Form itself and then added space for the actual information that is being asked for on the P3 form. When I get home from work today, I'll update this form with our GUZ Number. I'll be leaving on Friday to see the wife. But as you said, I'll get this OPTIN Email Done Before Friday. That way we are in the "system" as Electronic Processors or "EP noob"

Not really - instead - compare yer list to the list at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing#Digital_scans_of_supplemental_stuff

Let yer wife do that form - it MUST be filled out in CHINESE, and signed by HER.

Thanks for the help today, as of this moment I will get our OPTIN email sent out ASAP. Then wait for the email with our invoice identification number, pay the $70.00 then wait for our new case number before sending in the I-864 with supporting information, P3 Supplement Form and pages 1 & 2 of the DS-230. {I hope this is correct}

Oh, anything else I should have the wife sign while I am out in never never land?

if 'never never land' = China - then yes, she needs to sign PART I of the DS-230.

Remember - there are 'other document requirements' on the DS-230. It's not just 'the form' - there's OTHER STUFF to add in, scan in, submit with the DS-230 email.

When yer in China, if you need to scan in stuff - go to a COPY SHOP - they have the gear. Usually, an Internet Cafe DOES NOT HAVE a scanner. A Copy Shop does.

I'll tell you one crazy thing ;)

For non-electronic NVC casefiles, for March -

some of them got the AOS and IV fee bills 'available to be paid' on Day 1, without any waiting for other documents.

IF YOU ARE SO LUCKY to fall into that 'black hole' - then by all means pay both fees on the same day. I'm hoping you'll get the AOS Fee Bill (which has the IIN in it) tonight or tomorrow morning.

I hope to get it before I leave, then i can get it paid. But no matter what, I'll have my laptop with me when I go so I'll be able to check up on all documents and send any documents I need sent from the wife's place in Guangzhou. I'll get the OPTIN out by tomorrow, then I guess I'll need to wait before I can send the I-864 and DS-230 Pages 1 & 2, along with all supporting documents. Question: Do I need to put any type of "bar codes" on any document?

Besides sending in our OPTIN email, I can only wait. But then I think I am going to call to see if they can give me over the telephone a Invoice ID Number. Probably, not but doesn't hurt to ask.

the old processes for barcode, listed in LingChe's ShortCuts here, were useful.

These days, no barcode is needed to PUT ON the forms - however -

the coversheets and receipts have barcodes ON THEM -

you are to include a coversheet and barcode with each SET. Don't sweat that, it'll become apparent after you've paid something.

Specifically for DS-3032, though (TO BE CLEAR) - NO BARCODE REQUIRED .

Good Luck !
