I am about to email DS-230. The question is how I am gonna send photograph. Do I need to scane and attached it to email????? or will take it with me on interview. We have OPTIN with Montreal.

Scan it - I wrote the NVC number and my name on the back - scan that. Also do a coversheet to list all your documents. Bring your originals docs/photos to Montreal.

Thanks, thats great. Also, do you know from where I will get discription of picture ie size, background etc.

I will upload my timeline thanks for reminder.

You have to go get passport style pictures and make sure they are 2x2 inches. You can get them done anywhere in Canada but just specify they are for American standards and you should get the right size. Canada has slightly different measurements and we are also using the metric system. There is a section on photographs on the guides but don't have it handy to give to you. You can also go to the Dept of State website and that will tell you exactly what is required for the photos. All you really need to worry about is the size issue and anyplace like Walmart, Costco , AAA places will do the passport shots and they'll know what to do. The background is to be white I believe.
