My hubby would be receptive to moving to the UK, but the opportunities for us are so much better here in the US. Add to that the fact that I actually quite like it here, and well, here we are!!

:lol:

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

He has friends here, and he is fluent in English, and his job is his online biz so it can be done anywhere there is an internet connection... I dont speak Flemish, Dutch, French, nor German so the decision kinda made itself.

We both thought it was the best choice.

Actually, even before starting our relationship we had decided to be roomates in LA :yes::star:

Also, he already has a house there, his family owns a pizza place so we'll always have a job... all that stuff counts.

I have a good life here in Brazil too, a very supporting family, and always a job available... I'm sure I'll miss it but who knows where we'll be in 10 years from now.... it's never off the table! :star:

Mutual decision... James has always loved America and I am such a Bostonian, I would never want to live too far from my Red Sox and my Dunkin' Donuts on every corner. Before we ever really talked about either of us moving James used to joke that he would have to come to me for those 2 reasons and he turned out to be right :star:

Mutual decision...I have a good job and owned a home before we were married. I would hate to leave this and my family. I would have moved there IF we could not get a visa. We are not ruling out living there in the future. For now, though, Florida is home.

I voted 'mine' because it was me that persuaded Ken that we would be better off financially here in the US. We wanted to start our own construction company and he already had loads of contacts here....whereas we would have to start from scratch in the UK and the house prices there are very high compared to here. So it was purely a financial decision.

We do both want to eventually live in the UK...Ken loves it there and would move there tomorrow given the chance! Maybe that's why I have settled here ok, because we could go back in a heartbeat if we wanted too!

Well as he is in the military I don't have much choice but go where he gets sent, although he did opt to stay in the UK for another 3 years to keep us together....ahhhhh :luv: ....BUT if his divorce hasn't gone thro' by the time he has to leave again, he will retire here. We both want to live in the US...I can't wait!

Gwen....that was so funny.... :lol::thumbs:
