abusive husband

Hello guys hope somebody might help me here.im married to abusive husband he often say the F word to me.He lost his job and the more he treated me not well.He always told me that i didnt help here in many ways,i did financially and spritually its all showing to my debit card.When he got laid off he wrote in black in white u need to pay share in this house or find a place where you stay.Right now im paying my rent to them its like im a renter now but living together in different room.He change and i dont know why he is doing it to me.He even threated me that he will call immigration to deport me,he said that i just use him to come in US.I love him and dont know what to do.I keep everything not to tell even to my family abroad so they will not to worry about me.Before i came here in US he told manysweet lies in internet like good life,car,schooling but all of that are lies..I found out when i arrived here he is drown in debt as in nothing and he have BIPOLar illness.Do i need to worry about his threat in immigration?Can i still file a citizen this october if i leave this house?im still married to him,Im totally stress,need answer

Wow, how long have you been married? Do you have a conditional green card or 10 year? I am assuming you have a 10 year green card if you can file for citizenship (naturalization). You have nothing to worry about filing as you dont need him to file for that.

I would not be putting yourself in a position to be hurt. It is abuse whether verbal or physical. You dont have much worry about him getting you deported...he can't do that. The only way you can be deported is if you broke many laws and you committed fraud to come here. It sounds like you came here under the right reasons and intentions.

Does he take medications for his Bipolar disorder? If not, I dont know how you can convince him...maybe have one of his friends talk to him so he doesnt get violent with you. I dont know if you could get him to go to counselling.
