Hello everyone,

My step-father and brother have their B-2 interviews at Cairo Consulate on April 21st, 2010. Their visit will be only for 10 days the most since my brother has his final college exams in May and my step-father has limited vacation days at work.

I have a few questions:

- What are ALL the forms do they have to fill out?

- What kind of proof does the embassy want for them having 'ties' to go back to Egypt? For example, should my step-father present a letter from his workplace stating that he has to be back to Cairo on XX-XX-2010 and should my brother present his university exam schedule?

- What kind of questions are they going to be asked at the interview? For example, the purpose of their visit is to attend our religious marriage ceremony, will they be asked where the ceremony is going to to take place? Or is it going to be the same kind of questions I was asked on my K1 interview?

- John and I wrote an invitation letter for both of them...do we need to send them anything else?

Thanks in advance!

Aya

Hey Hun,

I think they just have to prove why they're visiting, show proof when will they go AND return (like plane tickets or so)

and show strong family ties ( college; your brother must get "Shehadet keed" from his university, jobs proof, house deeds, cars, any payments and reasons they have to go back to Egypt)

and off course they should give them like a balance sheet of their bank account to prove that they can afford to stay.

Maybe get a copy of your visa or something to prove they're just going to be there for your wedding.

Best of luck, hope it goes really well!!!

Thank you, Junita!

2 more days to go until their interview!! I am very anxious!

I totally have forgotten about the balance sheet from the bank. I hope they can get that done fast.
