On the N-400 form, do I type the singnature Or it has to be handwritten?

Just wanted to double check .

Also, on the form what name do i put? The name that appears on the greencard or the name i usually use? I have 3 names and i usually have Gabby first on the rest of the stuff (ID etc) and then the other 2 "middle names", but for some reason on the greencard they used "I.", my first name that I used back home and then C. , as my middle name, but no Gabby...So know Im all confused...Again!!!

Thank you!

Gabby

Stick to your legal name starting with your birth certificate, any previous married names with corresponding divorce papers. Wife had her maiden name on her green card preceding her legal married name. It was okay for her to drop her maiden. Customary in her home country, confusing here, so end up with her first, middle, and married last name. And that exactly how you sign by hand with a ball point pen at the end of your application. If your name was changed since birth, have to provide a paper trail to your latest name using all legal documentation to back it up.

Assume Gabby is a nickname you gave to yourself, not legal, so don't use it.

Gabby is not a nickname, is my third name (THANKS MOM  )

My first name is I. then C. then Gabby then family name.....On all the id and stuff my name is GABBY I.C. .... , but on the greencard is I.C family name....So thats why Im confused and I didnt know what name to put, the one on my id or the one on the Greencard

For the signature, you need to hand sign the application. I remember someone got their application back because he/she had the signature typed.

For the name, use your current legal name.... your legal name is what is on your DL, GC, passport, etc... if these documents are inconsistent, then you should list all names used in the application.
