Very interesting and informative topic because my and my hubby were having this conversation last night and it blew me away.

For those that are well established and believe in your money making money, how do you handle this situation? Do you only invest with your money if you have seperate accounts or do you invest "our" money? I hope that makes sense.

I tell you the things you learn.

O man, I am stillllllll scared of riba... LoL ... and confused about it.. LoL.. Ahmed doesn't seem to understand how everything works in here, when I explained him ...but inchallah he will learn soon...

But I know for myself I opened an account withChase bank, where I signed a waiver taking any interest earned off my account. I am really thankful for the debit system...where I donnot need to take much cash with me anywhere, and whatever I spent comes directing from MY money that I know I HAVE...not credit buying, I pay back later with interest, etc... way too complicated for me to ever get...

But unfortuely here in the USA, credit cannot be ignored, as you have to credit do anything and everytthing..even get a job LoL....

There is a muslim owned car lot here that offers on-site financing with no interest in case I need a car, although I'm perfectly happy with the car I own debt-free :)

Wow, really where are these lots? LoL....

Anway I do agree you with on the checking account thing...I too do the same...no credit cards or credit really... just use the checking account debit card where a credir card is nessassry....
