hello everyone,

i really tried to figure it out by myself but am finally at the end of my rope.

in my package i send them the form i-485, the letter of employment and the w2 (the state one)

so i figure the want the federal w2... fine, they can have that than. i also will send a secound letter of employment (although i have no clue why they want that again... )

the pink letter i got furthermore requests me to send a proof that our household meets or exceeds the 125 % of poverty line... and this is what i dont understand... what exactly does that look like ???

i went through my second package again and found a bunch of u.s. individual income tax returns.... is that what they are looking for.... :huh::huh::huh:

can somebody :help: me out please, thank you so so much

karin <--- :crying::(:blink::wacko:

Yes, you need to submit a copy of your tax return for 2005, that's the proof that your household income exceeds 125%. Supporting evidence to that are your W2s, employment letter, and paystubs if you wish.

In my cover letter to the RFE response, I pointed out the various lines of the forms that proved that my income was above the 125%.

After I re-read your post, it occurred to me that maybe you did not send the I-864, affidavit of support. This must be filed with the I-485. The instructions for what to include are on the form.

You will need to submit the I-864 form, which can be found on the USCIS website. This will answer their question for the RFE. In the I-864 you will need to submit a copy of your Federal tax file with the W2s, your current employment info(I submitted 1 month of Paystubs)and the form indicating that your income is over the 125% poverty line for your total household size. I hope this explains what you need :)
