my fiance has just entered the us and left a bag back in canada. what needs to be done to get that package sent to us? fedex is saying that she would have to be there to have the package sent. does anyone have any suggestions?

unfortunately her family made her choose between me and them....thankfully she chose me....so i have no idea what to do. her landlord still lives in the same house but she hasn't been very kind and we are afraid she won't help. she's charging her rent for the bag even being there but everytime we've asked for anything that seemed really easy she said, no.

First, what is the value of the bag's contents? International shipping by private courier is expensive. If the bag contains clothes or other non-sentimental personal items, then it's likely it won't be worth shipping it.

What if the only thing the landlord had to do was answer the door and hand the bag to the courier? Would she be willing to do that? If so, estimate the dimensions and weight of the bag, and buy a shipping label for it. Send the label to the landlord, and ask the courier to go and pick it up. Either UPS or Fedex should be able to do this.
