hello visa journey members and administrators!

Im hoping that you can help me and my husband about our concern, or at least provide concrete answers. I just recently had my interview for adjustment of status and thank God, we were approved. My husband got a job in a US military base overseas. We were wondering if this will affect my status as a resident since I will be leaving there with him for a few years. Is it okay if we will just return here in the States once every year so as not to jeopardize my immigration status? Will I be able to return to the US legally even if my green card is still conditional for two years? Thank you so much for reading this, and I would really appreciate if I get some helpful answers. Thank you!

Not sure since you JUST got your card, but you MIGHT be elegible for expedited naturalization. You should look into that. Military bases are considered american soil because they are owned by america. There is a military help line and lots of info on the USCIS website, also your base should have an immigration office on base that can help you out for free with questions and forms etc.

My husband got a job in a US military base overseas.

Will he be working under government orders? Assuming so, you'll be able to remove/lift conditions from abroad.
