I DO know that George Hamilton's ga-ga-ness over Stacey was getting on my nerves....lol Glad he's finally gone.

I felt sorry for Master P's partner....she seems sweet and she got a raw deal of a partner.

That's the only thing about the show....it's really only a popularity contest. I don't mind though if I get to see some good dancing...and it's cools when you can see someone who wouldn't have known the difference between a fox trot and a tango, now able to do them.

he's another that got away with a lot of posing and little dancing. At least last season, the "old guy", John O'Hurly danced is azz off....George liked his props and poses too much.

Edited to add...Anna's dance partner is also her husband...didn't know that....AND correction, she wasn't in last season, but he was.

Aww, this thread is MUCH better than the message board for the show. All that was on the message board were threads like "Stacey RAWKS" "Drew's an elf" and things like that. I'm glad we can actually have a conversation about this cool show!

i like DWTS. i am totally rooting for drew lachey. i like stacy as well so i wouldn't be too upset if she won. is it me or do her legs start from her neck? i feel so squat and stumpy in comparison.

i couldn't wait for master p to get off the show. i am sure if he didn't wanna do it, abc could have found a soap star, has-been sitcom actor, or trained monkey to take his place. instead we had to suffer through weeks of non-dancing, attitude and poor ashly working her butt off for nothing. and why were they calling him p miller instead of master p? weird.

as for the closeness of the partners, its a necessary evil. with something like ballroom, if there is any sort of bad feelings, it shows itself in the dance and can come off as cold and without passion. it helps to really like the person who is holding, spinning and lifting you. i think drew and cheryl are cute. she bosses him around alot (like super bowl sunday), but its a brother-sister relationship. lisa on the other hand, she jumps that poor man (as well as tom bergeron) every time she does well. and her partner DOES have a resemblance to her hubby, harry hamlin. so that's who i would be watching if i was a jealous spouse!

and i think they should either use pre-recorded music or better singers. they sound pretty lame, especially when singing things like 'shut up' by the black eyed peas or mj's 'thriller'. maybe drew can recruit nick to help out since he's already at all the tapings

Awww, thats terrible! (I say as I'm falling out of my chair laughing) How tall is Drew anyway? I cant imagine he's that short. Maybe he just looks shorter on tv....I'm reaching here, I know. I've never paid attention to his height compared to everyone elses, thats why I'm asking. Besides I'm only 5'4" so I dont really have any room to talk

And I know what you mean about the message boards! I'm a HUGE fan of Grey's Anatomy and their message boards consist of almost the exact same content.

Ohhh, some of that singing is horrid...and to me, it just doesn't match the dance. Seeing Lisa and whass-his-face dance a ballroom dance to "Working 9 to 5" gave me a headache. The song just seemed wrong, wrong, wrong, and the orchestra/singers made that song even worse.

I'd rather see the traditional music that goes with these dances. Like "Thriller" seemed strange for the Paso Doble.

I agree about the singing...definitely not the best. Would have been much better to at least play the recorded music by the original artist. I also agree that some of the music choices seem strange but I liked Thriller for the Paso Doble...I liked what they did with it. Especially the cape twirling at the beginning.
