I have learned that patience is a requisite in this process. This is not our beginning, just another step. We originally filed for a K1 in 2008. Everything went smoothly, at least by USCIS standards.. About 3 months

for the NOA2 after we filed, no problems with NVC, However, at the interview, in GUZ. my fiancee was denied. The interview lasted about 4 minutes. This was despite volumes of documentation, pictures, travel docs,

correspondence (more than 600 Emails, money transfers, co-mingled finances, etc.).

The petition was sent back to California for "review and possible revocation". It was allowed to expire there. I had asked for congressional assistance, which I received. They sent me copies of the denial. I cannot

find words to express my appreciation for their efforts on my behalf. I also filed a request for the justification under FOIA. The result was the generic, "Bona Fide Relationship". No specifics, and nothing to rebut.. I am not a lawyer, but this seems to be a adjudication at the consular level without cause. Theoretically, they are prohibited from doing this. Theoretically.

So, we decided to marry in China, and apply for the CR1. Which we did....and here we are. Fair our not, warranted or not, well, it really doesn't matter, because this is their game and they make the rules.

Dave

Your process has been similiar to mine for K1, denied, marry, go with 130. Yes it is "their game", but they have no rules, learned that the hard way.

A lot of people are getting approved in 167 days. I'm on my 160th day. I had a touch on 01-OCT-2010 probably due to Senator's request. I haven't heard from that lady yet. It's been 5 days since I asked her for help. Should I give her a buzz today? I'd like to get an approval this week, if all goes well. I called USCIS and got a upper level dude. According to him, I have no RFE. I don't know if he was bull****ing me or not.

NOA1 April 20-2010.

To make a Senate request, go here http://senate.gov/. From upper right-hand corner select your State of residance. Then click Go. You'll give given link to two of your Senators. Pick a Senator and go to his website with the link provided. On his/her website you'll find something along the line that says services or constituent services. Click that and you'll give given option to select what sort of help you want. You obviously want immigration related help. Click that link and you'll find instructions for contacting the Senator's office for immigration related help. If you tell me your State of residance, I can help find the phone number or the name of the person you need to contact. Thanks.

You're exactly on 167th days. Maybe you'll get your NOA2 this week. Like today or tomorrow. Wouldn't that be great.

You make Service Request by calling USCIS and getting a TIER II rep. You should've done that the day you crossed 150 days. If you haven't done so, I suggest you go ahread and call USCIS. Senate Inquiry is seperate from this. Since average days for NOA2 are 167 days, give or take a few, you can wait till later this week to contact your senator's office. Like do it Thursday if you haven't heart anything by then. That's my personal opinion. I've been known to be wrong on many occasion about many things.

Golden, don't cry!

I had no touches (other than an address update) and it took my process as long as yours. I had an NOA 1 date of april 9th, and I got my NOA 2 dates Sept 21st. You're in the "real" timeline for approvals. I wanted to cry too, but I didn't. And I believe that your approval is right around the corner! Just hold on a few days longer.
