I have just gotten married last month to my Husband who is the US Citizen, I am here in the US on the K-1 visa and we are putting the AOS forms together. Maybe its because im stressing out and worrying so much that its making me more and more confused so I hope one of you guys can help me!

It is about the I-693 forms. I have had my Medical back in London England but I opted to have my vaccinations once I arrive in the US, the only vaccination I need is the 2nd shot of my MMR, I had that vaccination with my Local Doctor just before I left England, but she couldnt give me the second shot because it HAS to be 2 weeks after the first shot and I was leaving the country in a few days (I know it was my fault for rushing and forgetting :( ). The Knightsbridge Doctors did not give me any envelope, they told me that they are sending my medical directly to the Embassy in London, how am I supposed to show them any evidence that I have had a medical back in London?

On top of that, I have requested to get certified copies of my Marriage certificate, but the lady told me it can still take 4-6 weeks to get them! What happens if I dont get my marriage certificate in time before my 90 days are up?

You should have your DS-3025 (vaccination record) from the panel physician back in the UK. Did she give you any copy of that? Coz if you have that, it's so much easier to ask the Civil Surgeon here to transcribe it into the I-693. I do think you need to complete the MMR shot.

As for your marriage cert. You could've gotten it done on the day itself if you took the marriage cert or something that you signed, i can't remember the name back to the Registry of Deeds and you'll get your copies there and then. But seems like you've past that, so now all you can do is wait... it's okay if you're after the 90 days... there's been a lot of speculations on that. but as long as you're married within 90 days and file for AOS as soon as you can after that, you'll be fine.

Cheers

I agree with the comment about the DS-3025. There's a copy of one in our photo album, if you want to take a look.

Also, how soon you can get a marriage certificate depends on your state. You could call the courthouse for the county you got married in and check to see if you can drive there to pick one up. Otherwise, I don't think USCIS will think you're slacking off if you're passed the 90 days due to waiting on your paperwork. Don't worry. :)

Thank you so much for the help! I do have the DS-3025 with vaccination records! I had to google image it to see exactly what it looked like! Thank god, The HPV Vaccination is no longer needed right? If so then I am a Happy Bunny!

Just hoping the civil surgeon thing wont cost alot.... Any ideas how much the prices may be? and the 2nd shot for my MMR Jab... Im kind of low on money.. :( So I hope it is ok if i send in the paperwork maybe 1 - 2 weeks later than my 90 days here? If so that would help a lot on the money issue :/

You'll need to complete the vaccination requirements. You can do that at your own doctor here, or at the public health department etc, or at the civil surgeon, then you'll take those records to a designated civil surgeon and have them transcribe the records onto the vaccination supplement of the I-693. It's the same as the I-693, except they only fill out certain parts - you fill out part 1 "about you", and they fill out part 2- the vaccination portion ONLY, and part 5 (Check it's not PART 6!!) the civil surgeon certification.

The civil surgeons will give you some guff about doing a full medical. Just keep calling different ones, and insist on getting just the vaccination portion, and getting it for less than $50. They may try to scare you and say that they get medicals back, but you tell them to just let YOU worry about your own process, and this is what you need. There's a thread Civil Surgeons who DON'T rip you off where you can find some other members' experiences. I would check towards the end of the thread for a more complete listing.

it's okay if you're after the 90 days... there's been a lot of speculations on that. but as long as you're married within 90 days and file for AOS as soon as you can after that, you'll be fine.

It's not "OK", it just unlikely that she will encounter someone who will hassle her too much in the couple of weeks that she is LATE in filing. It doesn't mean that someone who is unlucky won't have any trouble.
