Affidavit of support I-134 form question

We recently received the packet 3 for my husband's I-129 F visa from the consulate. I have two questions:

First of all, it says in the I-134 form that the affidavit may be sworn to or affirmed before an immigration officer or before a notary public or other official authorized to administer oaths for general purposes. I just wanted to know what's the easiest and shortest way to do that and how do I go about doing this? Also, my dad is the co-sponsor so he most probably will have to take the oath with me as well? Also, i believe that he will need a seperate I-134 form as well but should I mention it somewhere like write a letter or something when I am sending the forms out stating that one form and info is from the co-sponsor and one from myself?

Secondly, I wasn't working before but now I just got a contract with a big company through a staffing agency and the company will most probably hire me permanently after three months...how do I show my proof of employment? Do you think not having a permanent job right now and not showing my taxes (since I didn't work for at least three years as i was in college and I used to do some private consulting only which wasn't enough) can create problems for us even though my dad meets the income requirements...

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

After you've completed the form take it to a Notary Public (or a US consular officer if you're overseas) and have them witness you signing the form.

Your dad will do the same, but he and you do not have to do it together at the same time.

Since you do not qualify to sponsor and your dad will be the sponsor an I-134 and supporting documentation may not be required of you, but be prepared in case you are asked to submit the information anyway.

Yodrak thanks for the reply...do you mean I don't have to submit the I-134 or anything from my side? don't you think I should show a letter from my employer or something just to be on the safe side? I thought u were supposed to submit the form even if u didnt qualify along with your joint sponsor?

Most people seem to think it's required, but it is not. It will be at the discretion of the consular officer. So I mean exactly what I wrote - you may not have to submit it but be prepared with it in case it is asked for.

Thanks yodrak...i also wanted to know what proof of support can my dad send...the instructions don't specify the tax returns...should it be just the employment letter or tax returns or both? what if i also send an employment letter and a letter stating that i didn't work for the last three years therefore not attaching my taxes etc? when you said i should be prepared in case the officer asks for my income info do you mean when my husband goes for his interview he might be asked to show my proof of income?
