I called the DOS, they said the Guangzhou Consulate already received my dad's case,but my mom's case is still on the way. Why? I always sent both of documents together,how can they lost my mom's case :crying:

it's not lost. IF they did not have 'case complete' at NVC at the same day, then the casefiles got seperated, sent to GUZ on seperate days.

You can also ask the GUZ IV unit itself, via email - see

http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn//immigrant-visa-unit-question.html

If I were in yer shoes, I'd certainly ask the IV unit to hold off scheduling , until both casefiles are at GUZ.

Are you certain about the 'leave dates', btw? I can't remember which entity - either NVC or DOS knows exactly when it left NVC on it's way to GUZ.

I sent 3 emails to GUZ from that site,they replied me that they will schedule them for a visa interview once when they have both of their cases.

i just emailed Guangzhou last week. they said they haven't received my parents' cases yet. NVC sent the cases out on the feb. 9th. should they received the cases by now?

Hey - it's between 2 to 5 months for 'waiting', prior to 'casefile opened at GUZ'.

You could also call DOS Hotline, get a Human, and inquire for status. DOS has all the current status on the casefile, once it's left NVC. Sure - it'll seem frustrating when you call and they have no status, but on some day, later, they'll have it.
