My fiance arrived from England in January 2010, we were married in February and immediately applied for the I-485, I-765 and I-131 - Feb. 16, 2010 to be exact. We have only recevied a notice from USCIS that they received the applications and have heard nothing since. We keep calling USCIS to check the status of his EAD and no one has any info. We had to request an expedite via phone as he is supposed to start a job in May. After our request for expedite on March 15, 2010 - we received an e-mail stating he needed to go to a service center for processing and his case was in suspense until he went to this appt. but we never received the info. for the appt. i.e. where to go, what to do, etc. and USCIS has no idea of a letter or this e-mail. Does anyone have any info or suggestions?

I just contacted my state representative this morning and waiting.

I don't know if that might be the case but after you get married, need to wait at least 2 weeks before apply for the AOS.

It take a while for the marrige to be added at the database, maybe that's what happen.

What database is that? In the US, there is no national database for recorded marriages. Some states do have them but it is not done everywhere.

You can apply for AOS as soon as you can get your hands on your marriage certificate (provided you have all the forms ready to go!

From searching throught the AOS forum it looks like the EAD typically takes 60-90 days to receive. Don't know about the possibility to request expediting or if its even possible, remember who your dealing with here!

did you apply for G-1145? that is electonic notifications so you could check your status online? if you have your case number you can check. you were probably sent a letter for biometrics which you normally get after 2 weeks of USCIS receipt of your application. Maybe they had the wrong address? Did you get the first NOA in the mail regarding your applications yet?
