Montreal Hotel Review - Plateau Royal

This is locationed on Ave Du Parc. The hotel is clean and cheap, the staff is very nice. It wasn't anything fancy but it definitely was better than I expected from the outside view. I had a nice sized room with King Bed. There was a door to a fire escape as well, which I was able to go smoke on ;). They served muffins, coffee, cereal, croissants, and toasted from 7:30am - 10:30am. There is also a microwave down there if you wanted to use it.

I stayed for 9 nights and 8 days. Including my flight to Montreal and back to Halifax with Hotel, I paid $900.

Again, I loved the staff, one girl in particular, very nice, and knew I was expecting mail and even though she wasn't working the day it came - the next day she made sure to ask me if I received it.

It's close to a Pizza Place, Grocery Mart, Two Gas Stations and an A&W. It is also right next to Mont Royal and the Park. Medisys and Embassy are in walking distance (10-15 min walk). Basically it's right down the street, turn right on sherbrooke walk 30 seconds and you're at medisys. Walk straight down to St. Catherines, walk 10 seconds turn the corner and you're at the Embassy.

There is a bus stop across the street, which has buses constantly coming! It's 2.75 and the number 80 takes you straight down to sherbrooke and if you wanted to keep going to St. Catherines for the Embassy. Again, once the bus drops you off you're seconds away.

For those who wanted to save money. The 747 Express bus from the Airport - 7$ and takes you right down town. (I forget the main street name but it starts with an I think it's Rene Levenques or something). You walk up the street Bluery (which turns into Parc), grab the 80 and you're dropped off at the hotel. Same thing to go back to the airport.
