Open Appointment Letter

First off, I've filed a I-129F that has already made it to the consulate. It has been there 5 weeks now and average time for the appointment letter is 6-8 weeks. Me being the impatient person that I am has already printed out the 3rd packet and sent the information to the consulate. I guess my real question is, has anyone had any problems after doing that, and what has been you guys experience after your packet has been recieved at the consulate and wait times for approval letter to be mailed?

Secondly, My fiance doesn't get mail where he lives because it's a small village in the mountains south of Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico. All of his mailing addresses are General Post of Zomajapa. How will I know when his letter has been mailed if he doesn't actually recieve mail. We've been printing everything off from the internet or tracking it on the USCIS website, but once its at the consulate, how do you track it?

What exactly did you send to the consulate?

When you say "waiting for approval letter" do you really mean appointment letter. There will be no approval until after an interview is performed.

Be careful jumping the gun and trying to speed things up, the process is what it is and you really need to follow the steps.

You are not suppose to send any of the papers for packet 3 to the consulate, your fiance has to take everything with him to the interview. So he will need to print off all the papers and fill them out again. As another poster mentioned you can't speed up the process, so you will need to wait until you can confirm the consulate has mailed the open appointment letter
