CSC is random as hell. If you look they have skipped a good deal of December filers while processing Jan/Feb.

VSC is slower, but only arbitrary. 100-120 days seems to be the norm nowadays.

While I understand your frustration (been there done that) you guys are getting angry way too soon.

Also looking at your signature.... 3 touches in 3 days. Might actually mean they have mailed out your NOA-2 and have not updated the website.

Happened to people in December group.

Possible but not likely. I tried to get an expedite because my fiancées daughter is going to age out. It was denied. I think that what the touches were. This is why I'm a little angry. I see CSC feb filers being approved left and right and I really need mine for a very valid reason. Hey while your here, I noticed that you are flying Aerosvit to Kiev. Have you flown them in the past? I'm thinking about using them.

Thanks.

Ah, didn't know that's why the touches came.

You are still well under the timeline (and I'm not talking about 5 months, I'm talking about 3.5-4 months that I've been seeing by playing with numbers).

Have never flown Aerosvit. It will suck I'm sure of it. Hell, I haven't even been in Ukraine in 10 years... so yeah, will be fun.

They are cheap though and I needed a one-way ticket.

Totally know how you are feeling. Most of us that filed in Nov. 2009 at Vermont waited for about 3.5 - 4 months; some people are still waiting. It's a long haul, indeed. But trust me, endless and awful though those months of waiting were, it doesn't last forever! When you do finally get that approval, this waiting will be in the past, and you'll be ready to work on the next part. Some good news: From others' experiences at the embassy in Kiev (assuming that's where your fiance(e) will be interviewing), after the NOA2, things should zip along quickly to the interview!

Good luck and best wishes!

Some of us CSC filers are feeling your pain as well. I filed Jan 4 and haven't even had a touch - USCIS site says the same old ####### "Initial Review"... People who filed in MARCH are now approved with their petitions going to NVC (some already have interview dates set!).

USCIS is random, has no equity in processing petitions and there's not much we can say to them to make the system any better.

Good luck to all of you awaiting your NOA2!

Alan

I am feeling for you. I do hope that you will get your approval soon. Maybe we should drive up to Vermont and "convince" an adjuticator to work on yours. Maybe a little talk about fire insurance, health plans for relatives, or up to date wills would help speed things up. LOL. Actually I am just going to send them good karma. Too bad this isn't Ukraine and one just cant't grease the right persons palm and it gets finished in a day. I will be happy to dance with you.

I have to admit it does seem very unfair. I remember in 2004 when they were using four Service Centers. Vermont was always the fastest. Everybody wanted to file in the Vermont Service Center.

Maybe they are all out gathering Maple Syrup.

OK, I have to admit, after what I posted earlier this makes me feel better that it is NOT just me. I am not whining...yet ;) just full of concern because if I don't want to be sitting here 4 months from now mad that I didn't do something about it sooner if I could. It would be FANTASTIC to have him here by July...my b-day, but if not, that's ok too...I guess...More time to save! If he gets here past October though...it's a horrible time of the year for him to have to find a job. Meh.

David

I don't mean this to come out the wrong way. I do not understand why people always say this? Is there something in particular that the State Senators do to help with this process in these situations that we are not able to do on our own? 2-3 months doesn't seem like ALL that long to wait.

Yeah it's great when you don't have a child that's "aging out". My Fiancee is facing many years of separation from her daughter, all because no one at VSC seems to think it's important. The fact of the matter is: VSC is erratic at best and people get hurt because of it.

My son ages out during this process as well. My heart breaks over & over knowing I have to leave him behind. But the immigration lawyer said to me that if the shoe was on the other foot he wouldn't think twice about leaving me behind... :crying:

I am not a fan of this aging out thing. If we add our children on at the beginning of this process, & they age out, they should still be able to join us in the US.
