Hi everyone! My husband submitted our I-130 package last March 27, 2010. As far as I know I think the next thing that will happen is at least 2 weeks from the filling date, you can hear a receipt notice from the USCIS. It is now 2 weeks and 4 days since we submitted the I-130 but we don't hear anything yet from them. Is this normal? Did we do anything wrong? What should we do? And also in the marital relationship evidence we just passed out marriage contract and a joint bank account statement. We didn't include any wedding pictures, chats and phone calls history. I read someone here that they received a RFE because they didn't include those stuff too. Is that really going to be a problem? And when you get a RFE how long will it take? It means RFE caused more time. I appreciate for those who can give me information. Thank you so much...

Yes it's normal. It can actually take up to 60 days to receive the NOA-1. Currently there is nothing to do but wait. This process is as much about patience as it is about enduring frustration. Lots of people just submitted marriage certificates and maybe one or two other things. No telling if it will be an issue. We got an RFE and it cost us 2 weeks in total. But that depends on your ability to turn around the RFE quickly. No one can tell if what you sent is sufficient. Each petition is adjudicated separately and one officer may find what you have more than sufficient but another may not - there is no telling which one you may get

Good luck.

Yeah, we got an RFE, we had sent joint bank account statement with affidavits-but we are asked to send photographs, correspondance, travel information, and anything else...

I hope you don't get an RFE...but yeah...we have learned a lesson...don't go by what they are saying on the form...heavy load the application as much as you can initially...as they are soo used to people sending them tons of information...that I feel now...they expect everyone to do the same...

We are sending our package out this Saturday....

I hope you don't get an RFE-its not a nice feeling-and we got it too on my birthday :S...

Peace.
