Yes, entrance and duration of stay is up to the CBP at the time of crossing. Entrance is not guarenteed. Bring strong ties to the UK and perhaps your I-129F packet to show you intend to return

Entitled in theory but I agree with above post to bring strong ties to your homecountry to proof that you are not trying to stay.
