My NOA2 has bee approved last Apr 5, 2010. I havent received a hard copy. My case was touched again Apr 6. Does it mean that it was send to NVC? Called NVC today, told me that they havent recd yet and to call back Apr 25. Since I want to go back to the Philippines within May 22-Jun 7, 2010, my questions are: (based on your experiences):

1. When am I going to received NOA2 hard copy?

2. When is the right time to call NVC, if they recd my case and when they're going to send to the Phil - US Embassy?

3. Is NVC going to send me (USC) a letter that they received my case? When? Does this letter contain the MNL#? If not, how can I get the MNl#, via email, mail or others? Or do I have to call them and NVC will tell verbally to me over the phone?

4. Once a received a copy of NOA2, I will email to my fiancee. And if I received MNL#, does St. Lukes accept an email attached copy of NOA2 and email attached copy of letter contain MNL# (or only a verbal MNL# from NVC)?

5. When can I call US embassy in the Phil to schedule interview appt? Will they aske me an appt letter or what will I tell?

6. Is it feasible/possible to make schedule interview appt within - May 24 to May 29? If yes, and if everything goes smoothly, when my fiance will be receiving the actual visa? Will it be before June 7?

Sorry for asking to many questions since I have to plan ahead. It's hard to have a vacation leave nowadays at work since I am only allowed between May 22- June 7. And at the same time, I want my fiancee to be with me, when I get back here in the US.

Thanks in advance for reading this post and response.

1. When am I going to received NOA2 hard copy? within 1-2 weeks...seems it takes them about a week to get anything sent out (at least in our case)

2. When is the right time to call NVC, if they recd my case and when they're going to send to the Phil - US Embassy?I would call them after a week

3. Is NVC going to send me (USC) a letter that they received my case? When? Does this letter contain the MNL#? If not, how can I get the MNl#, via email, mail or others? Or do I have to call them and NVC will tell verbally to me over the phone?I dont know about k-1, but we never received a letter...you will have to talk to an operator to get your case number

4. Once a received a copy of NOA2, I will email to my fiancee. And if I received MNL#, does St. Lukes accept an email attached copy of NOA2 and email attached copy of letter contain MNL# (or only a verbal MNL# from NVC)?We used a photo copy of the NOA2..so scan it an you will have no issues....and all you need it she MNL case number because it is used on the patient data form

5. When can I call US embassy in the Phil to schedule interview appt? Will they aske me an appt letter or what will I tell? you will have to wait until the NVC forwards it to the embassy...talk to an operator there and they should be able to tell you when it is forwarded

6. Is it feasible/possible to make schedule interview appt within - May 24 to May 29? If yes, and if everything goes smoothly, when my fiance will be receiving the actual visa? Will it be before June 7? I dont think you can choose the interview date like that...they assign it when you call. I wouldnt count on having the visa by any certain date...i would change your travel plans once you know when the interview will be. Your fiancee hasnt passed the medical yet (hopefully she has no problems)...in most cases the visa will be delivered within a week to 10 days from the interview...depends on different factors.

Called NVC today, told me that they havent recd yet and to call back Apr 25. Since I want to go back to the Philippines within May 22-Jun 7, 2010, my questions are: (based on your experiences):

1. When am I going to received NOA2 hard copy?

Malapit na! :star:

2. When is the right time to call NVC, if they recd my case and when they're going to send to the Phil - US Embassy?

Call the NVC today...and call them every day...until you get your MNL# from them.

3. Is NVC going to send me (USC) a letter that they received my case? When? Does this letter contain the MNL#? If not, how can I get the MNl#, via email, mail or others? Or do I have to call them and NVC will tell verbally to me over the phone?

I don't remember ever receiving any notification whatsoever from NVC regarding anything. Call the NVC daily until they give you your MNL#. Don't fall for their "call back in two weeks" script. You need your MNL case number.

4. Once a received a copy of NOA2, I will email to my fiancee. And if I received MNL#, does St. Lukes accept an email attached copy of NOA2 and email attached copy of letter contain MNL# (or only a verbal MNL# from NVC)?

Yes...email your fiancée the NOA2. St. Lukes will accept it. Also, after you get your MNL# from the NVC, wait a week or so and then start calling the U.S. Embassy in Manila (USEM) to see if they have your K-1 packet and that they have entered it into their system. At that point, make an interview appointment with the USEM. When you make an interview appointment, the USEM will email an appointment letter to your fiancée. Your fiancée can take her interview appointment letter with her to St. Lukes. Your MNL# will be on her interview appointment letter.

5. When can I call US embassy in the Phil to schedule interview appt? Will they aske me an appt letter or what will I tell?

First, keep calling the NVC until you get your MNL#. Then, keep calling the NVC until they tell you they have sent your K-1 packet to the USEM. Once the NVC has sent your K-1 packet to the USEM, wait a week or so in order to give the USEM a chance to receive your packet and enter it into their system. Then call the USEM and make an interview appointment for your fiancée. You need your MNL case number in order to make an interview appointment with the USEM.

6. Is it feasible/possible to make schedule interview appt within - May 24 to May 29? If yes, and if everything goes smoothly, when my fiance will be receiving the actual visa? Will it be before June 7?

If everything goes smoothly (no Administrative Processing at the NVC, no sputum culture at St. Lukes, etc.), you will be finished with St. Lukes, the USEM, and the CFO before May 24. Your fiancée should have her visa by then.

Also, when you call the USEM and make the interview appointment, they will tell you which dates are available and you simply choose one.

Sorry for asking to many questions since I have to plan ahead. It's hard to have a vacation leave nowadays at work since I am only allowed between May 22- June 7. And at the same time, I want my fiancee to be with me, when I get back here in the US.

With your current timeline, if everything goes smoothly, your plan is doable. You two should be flying home together. :star:

P.S. To save time, maybe your fiancée would be willing to pick up her visa at the USEM.

Thanks in advance for reading this post and response.

Walang anuman. Good luck! :star:

Sorry if I'm repeating myself, but I cut and pasted this from another thread:

Here is the Cliff Notes version of what I did in order to schedule a USEM K-1 interview for my wife (then-fiancée):

> A few days after we received our NOA2 from USCIS, I called the National Visa Center (NVC) and got the MNL# that NVC assigned to our case.

> I called the NVC again a few days later in order to verify that they sent our K-1 visa packet to the United States Embassy Manila (USEM).

> A few days after NVC sent our packet to the USEM, I called the USEM to verify that they physically received our K-1 visa packet. I gave them our MNL# and they verified that they had received our packet.

> I called the USEM again after about a week or so, gave them our MNL#, and scheduled an interview appoint. It takes the USEM some time to enter a packet into their system. That is why it took a week or so from the time they physically received our packet until the time I was able to schedule an interview appointment.

To Tahoma - I like your being assertive.... you rock!! you give me spirit to go on.... i will make "kulit" to NVC until NVC get annoyed!! Like it!! Yea... I agree with you that May 24 - 28 time frame is doable to have the visa. You know, this is the only time, my employer allowed me to have vacation and I want to take advantage of getting back home and assist/bring my fiancee back here in the US. Wow!! you make my day!!... Cheers and thanks!! :D:thumbs:

I know how it goes with work. One thing I really missed out on was accompanying my malambing Pinay on her flight here to Seattle. However, I did everything I could to get her here as quickly as possible. :star:

Make no mistake, it takes a lot of time and persistence to get through on the phone to the NVC and to the USEM, but it is doable...and worth it.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
