Pre-empting an RFE for AOS

So this has probably been asked before but ... I found an error on the I-864 and my dear (read idiot) husband forgot to include the bank statement for our term deposit :bonk: even though he included the balance in the assets. My Q's are:-

1. Knowing there is an error, do we wait for NVC to pick it up and send the RFE?

2. Can we amend the form now and include the missing bank statement with a cover letter explaining the reasons or will this confuse the issue?

3. Is it possible to have Chuck Norris go around to his (dear husband) house and roundhouse him in the head?

All responses would be greatly appreciated ... TIA!

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR: (dd/mm/yyyy)

06/01/11 - Submitted change of address online to USCIS. Mailed I-865 for sponsor. Neverending!

I forgot to send passport photos - I didn't wait for an RFE, but printed a new cover sheet and sent them overnight just as soon as I realized it, with an explanation that I had inadvertently forgotten to send them with the original package. The NVC operator actually told me not to wait but to send them in ASAP. Waiting for them, could take forever.

Send in a new I864, filled out correctly. Add the barcoded cover sheet. Add your own cover sheet. And add the missing bank statement documents.

Good luck!

I would go with option # 3, but send chuck Norris to NVC and then to USCIS!!!

I feel ya. I had the same moment a little earlier when The Husband said that our interview was on May 15. I nearly screamed at him and said, "MAY 12, MAY 12 -- you can't remember one simple date?"

He then replied, that with remembering my birthday and our anniversary, something's were bound to slip his mind.

Men, I tell ya. :bonk:
