Can someone tell me if I have the correct document. My step daughter lists the standard (no father)father name on her birth certificate in accordance with Ukrainian law. So it is a made up first name and mothers last name. Ukraine does not give a court decree giving the mother full custody. The document I have says on the top of it "Extract from State Civil Registry of the Citizens about Birth with Indication of Data Concerning Father According to the Part One of the Article 135 of the Family Code of Ukraine." The information on this document looks like the same information on the birth certificate. Is this the document that is referred to the "NO FATHER" that was obtained at ZAGS? Is this what I will need for the Visa and also travel? I have it translated into english as well. Thank you for your comments and advice.

That IS the correct document. It is often rteferred to as the "certificate of no father". Alla has one also as she has "no father"(of course she is old enough to not need the letter any longer, she still has it) She also does translations and has translated several of these for clients. You are good to go.

Thank you!!! This has been a issue for so long. My wife and I were both frustrated because it was lost in translation what we needed. I saw a old thread that you had replied to and pulled out the document to see if it was similiar. Of course I was hoping you would respond. I am glad I finally know because I was having nightmares of us at the airport and security not letting our daughter leave the country. Now I can sleep at night! :D
