Hi! I just got here in Arizona through a K-1 visa which was filed by my fiance last Oct of 2009. And now, we are on the process of completing the forms needed for the AOS. We got married April 02, 2010 and we're hoping to submit the AOS application this week. I am a bit confused on what name I'd be putting on the I-485. Should I use my maiden name, or is it better to stick with my maiden name for my green card?

I need your suggestions on this. Thank you!

If your married, why would you use your maiden name?

Submit your AOS in the name you want to be your legal name. This the name you will use for work and tax purposes, unless you applied for your SSN with your maiden name and don't file for a name change. Then you will need to work and file taxes with your maiden name. This will probably be the name on your driver's license, since most states check the name you use against your SSN record.
