Calling July IMBRA RFE's that are NOT approved yet

My IMBRA RFE receipt date in July 12. I have a feeling that I should receive approval real soon, but I wonder...

If you are also a July IMBRA RFE and still waiting... what did you answer to the question of how you met??? We met via a Marriage Agency. Of cause I assume the rest of your questions were no criminal record. That complicates the measure of my question and poll here :-)

July 11 here. Answered yes...also mult petition waiver..who knows how either of those effect anything.

Try a July 5th RFE receipt date, answered no on the marriage broker, multi petition, and no criminal history.

Dont try and figure out what CSC is doing. Only thing we can do is sit and wait.

July 10th, and answered yes on RFE (although it really isn't a marriage broker, just answered yes, and provided details to make sure I didn't somehow get another RFE). No criminal background.

There have been approvals regardless of how people answered from what I can tell. I would imagine they are getting to the next batch of RFE dates soon... well I hope

My RFE reciept date is july7th and i replyed no to the marriage brokerage question (met at filipinaheart.com) but was told by csc worker that its not considerd a brokerage.

No to all other questions.

Weird how there is really no sure pattern to the process.

Wondering if maybe i messed something up in the paperwork(wondering all kinds of things actually) just wish i can hear something from them soon havent been touched since they aknowledged my RFE .

If you read the IMBRA amendment, all: dating sites, introduction services, local or abroad, web based or personal services are considered a IMB under IMBRA.

I can not speak for the CSC case worker, but ... anyway...

July 28th!! but I'm not expecting anything for a couple of weeks or more. I answered "no" to the IMB question, but "yes" to convictions, not a multiple petitioner.

Not necessarily. There are some exceptions.

The term ‘‘international marriage broker’’ means a corporation, partnership, business, individual,

or other legal entity, whether or not organized under any law of the United States, that charges fees

for providing dating, matrimonial, matchmaking services, or social referrals between United States citizens or

nationals or aliens lawfully admitted to the United States as permanent residents and foreign national clients by providing personal contact information or otherwise facilitating communication between individuals.

(B) EXCEPTIONS.—Such term does not include—

(i) a traditional matchmaking organization of a cultural or religious nature that operates on a nonprofit

basis and otherwise operates in compliance with the laws of the countries in which it operates, including

the laws of the United States; or

(ii) an entity that provides dating services if its principal business is not to provide international dating

services between United States citizens or United States residents and foreign nationals and it charges

comparable rates and offers comparable services to all individuals it serves regardless of the individual’s

gender or country of citizenship.

(6) PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION.—

(A) IN GENERAL.—The term ‘‘personal contact information’’ means information, or a forum to obtain such information, that would permit individuals to contact each other, including—

(i) the name or residential, postal, electronic mail, or instant message address of an individual;

(ii) the telephone, pager, cellphone, or fax number, or voice message mailbox of an individual; or

(iii) the provision of an opportunity for an in-person meeting.

B) EXCEPTION.—Such term does not include a photograph or general information about the background or

interests of a person.

July 11 - IMBRA RFE receipt acknowledged by CSC

Answered NO to question #1. Other questions not applicable, left them blank. So tell me, why I am I being tortured like this??? I have been a responsible, tax paying, law abiding citizen my whole life. My petition was approved back in March for god's sake, fiance was on the way to the interview in May when they pulled the rug out from under us, and apparently we've been relegated to the back burner, put on slow simmer. Maybe they hope we'll give up and go away. In the meantime it seems nothing could help except maybe a freakin ACT OF CONGRESS, and as we all know, they are too busy framming around with what to do about the 12 million illegals already here to give a rip about a few thousand frustrated USCs trying to jump through all the legal hoops to get a K-1. Somethin' just ain't right about this system.

My receipt date is 7/21, no red flags on my questionnaire. I caled CSC yesterday and those dorks told me I have to wait 61 days from the day they received the RFE! I couldnt beleive it, and I raised some serious cane with the rep. Im writing the letters and emails to my state reps today.

July 05 - IMBRA RFE receipt acknowledged by CSC

Did not meet by marriage broker, still awaiting NOA2.

Got email today saying they sent another RFE...better not be another IMBRA one!

NOA1 is March 14 and IMBRA RFE response recieved by CSC on July 21. Did not meet through an agency, and no prior convictions (at least not yet, but this process is slowly driving me insane, so who knows).

NOA2 should be soon, be we all know what happens when we try to predict what going to happen in a government operation.
