Here is the confirmation letter I received from NVC regarding my OPTIN request.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your interest in processing your case electronically with the National Visa Center (NVC).

Your case has been updated with the email address you have provided to us.

All further communication with NVC will now be done through this email address NVCElectronic@state.gov.

All documents and forms that we request and require from you should be scanned copies of the originals. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the Consular officer at the visa interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.

Any questions regarding your petition should now be directed to NVCElectronic@state.gov

The Affidavit of Support instructions were downloaded on 15 March 2010. Once you have gathered all of the information and completed the necessary form, please scan the documents and email them to us.

The Instruction Packet was downloaded on 16 March 2010. Once you have gathered all of the information and completed the necessary form, please scan the documents and email them to us.

A couple of questions.....

1) When they say "The Instruction Packet was downloaded on 16 March 2010", do they mean to the immigrantvisas.state.gov site where you go to complete the electronic payment?

2) I have e-mailed the I-864 and DS-230. Will they notify me when to go and complete the DS-160 etc or is that something that I can do now? I can't find any reference to the DS-160 on the DOS electronic processing site.

On the Embassy Info page, it mentions P3 and lists the DS-160, DS-156 and the DS-230. All I have instructions to process and e-mail right now refer to the DS-230, so I'm just a bit curious.

How has this flowed for others who have done EP?

Thanks Much

Interesting, some of us didn't get this email from them after the OPTIN email. BUT they did send the AOS bill etc. How long after you opted in did you get this email? And did you pay the AOS bill prior to getting this email?

Thanks.

The P-3 set is not for I-130 petitions.

Also, you never have to do a DS-160, as you are a I-130 petition.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I also had no ability to pay the AOS bill prior. It only became available after we got the NVC number (obtained after I called them). I then sent in the OPTIN email with the DS3032 attached. And after I paid the AOS it remained as in process for a while, then as paid. But there is NO option to pay the IV bill, it still shows as not invoiced. Not sure how people are able to pay these bills before they are invoiced?

I think there may be some glitches in the EP system these days. Hopefully everything gets sorted out without too many problems or delays.

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) has received all required fee payments for the immigrant visa case of Namexxxx. Each applicant must now complete an Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (form DS-230).

Please go to the Department of State website at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov, open the Applicant

Document Processing page and follow the instructions for submitting the form(s) and supporting civil documents. Pay particular attention to the requirements for police certificates. In some cases specific

forms must be used to request and obtain required police certificate(s) based on your residence history.

Each applicant must send the completed form DS-230 and supporting civil documents to the NationalVisa Center.

If electronic processing HAS been chosen for this case the required form(s) and documents MUST be scanned and submitted by e-mail to NVCElectronic@state.gov.

If electronic processing HAS NOT been chosen you MUST RETURN THIS PAGE with the required form(s) and civil documents to:

National Visa Center

ATTN: CMR

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

Etc Etc Etc

When I first saw the E-mail in my inbox, I thought they were confirming receipt of the documents I sent them on Monday - the documents they say I should now send.....which are the documents they said I should send in the first e-mail.... :bonk:

CdnMN, maybe they haven't gotten to the actual documents you sent in on Monday because they are so behind on emails. You sent in the DS-230 documents on Monday? I wouldn't send them in again if you already did. They just have to get down the list. I sent in my OPTIN on 3/25 and haven't heard back yet! Going on two weeks now..

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) has received all required fee payments for the immigrant visa case of Namexxxx. Each applicant must now complete an Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (form DS-230).

Basically, this letter means that they've received AND processed the I-864, and now they want the DS-230. Keep monitoring the payment portal, so when the IV fee bill is ready, pay it, and wait for the receipt to be generated. Once the receipt is generated, send in the DS-230 set with the coversheet from the portal.

Good Luck !
