There is a Restaurant overlooking the city of Bogotá, Colombia. I think it starts with a T but I can not remember.

I know is was straight up a steep drive hard for the cab to climb the hill.

Maybe you are talking about Monserrate. There are two restaurants overlooking Bogota: San Isidro and Santa Clara.

Its called TRAMONTI and it is in La Calera. Excellent place and great food Have fun!!!

We ate there, wife and I invited her entire family shortly after we got married here to celebrate as her family couldn't come here. Food and service was great.

Ha, like to have a cigarette after a large meal, recall walking out to that balcony and lighting up, sent a waiter behind me to hold an ashtray. Felt awkward, but the manager said to take my time. But I put the entire bill on my credit card and left a large tip. Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be as back then, about five years ago, the buck was worth something against the peso.

It was a very wonderful time, got to meet all my new in-laws, great people. We just got back from Bogota last month, buck isn't worth as much as it was back then. And airline rates have more than doubled between Bogota and Cartagena and Caracas in the last couple of years. Make sure you bring more money.

My last visit a few years ago they made a Scampi style prawns not on the menu and a beautiful filet

The view is to die for overlooking all the lights of the city.
