Here our interview details for those interested or waiting for interviews in Bloomington, MN.

Over all, it was a very pleasant experience for us!

We were called in exactly at the scheduled time, be punctual, they are, too! Add a little extra time to get through security downstairs.

A young lady, very friendly and polite, looked at our 2-inch thick file on her desk and ask me the following:

My mother's first name

My father's first name

My date of birth

Where my parents lived

She asked my husband when we got married.

Some of the prostitute, terrorist etc. questions followed. When she asked me if I was ever deported, ordered removed etc. I said NO, but told her about my entry denial under Visa Waiver. She just shook her head, said "it happens all the time", and assured me it would not have an impact on my AOS.

She asked me if I had a job, wanted to know my social security number and then asked my husband how we met.

During all the questions she looked into our file and took notes in red ink! (made me very nervous )

I gave her our AR-11 form and the Sponsor's Change of Address Form we had filed about a week before the interview, and she said she would update our address in the system right away. We chatted for a while about new addresses, confusing ZIP codes and phone numbers and moving in general.

THAT WAS IT! No further evidence required (we had already submitted bank statements, photos and flight tickets from our honeymoon trip with our application, but had brought quite a bit more).

She was about two seconds away from stamping my passport when she remembered the name check and found out it wasn't completed yet... She actually apologized for that and said she would love to stamp my passport but can't, but we were approved and she wished us good luck!

She kept my I-94, but gave me my EAD and Advance Parole back and told me I was free to travel and to work , apologized again for the name check and sent us on our way!

We are two happy campers!!! (Went right across the road to IKEA and bought a sofa for the new home... )

Anybody going through the Bloomington office, relax, everybody is very friendly and professional, nothing to worry about, just have your paperwork in order!
