We had our AOS interview today at the Detroit USCIS. We arrived 30 minutes early went inside, dropped our 797 form at the window and waited for them to call our name. They called us 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment, so that was cool.

Our adjucator was a younger woman, very nice. She sat us down, asked for Alejandra's parole documents, her last I-94, and her work card.

She asked if we wanted to show evidence of our relationship, i gave her a copy of our bank statement, car insurance, title to a car in both our names, health insurance, and a utility bill with both names. That was it!! I said that i have pictures, she didn't even ask to see them, she said she doesn't like to take people's pictures from them.

She then asked us how we met, when did we start dating, and when did she come to the US. At that point she commented that we won't need those documents back, because we'll get the Green Card in a couple weeks. So basically 10 minutes into it we knew we were approved.

Very easy, and actually a little anticlimatic, but still a great day :)

She kept the parole documents. She wanted to keep the work card, but my wife is starting a job tomorrow and I asked if we could keep that just in case, and she said yes. She kept the statements and other documents I gave in and pu them in our file. She didn't ask to see the pictures at all.
