Hi VJ,

Has anyone here experienced this? The package was scheduled to arrive on the morning of April 1st and did not show. I've started an inquiry with Canada Post and they are doing a trace on it but haven't turned up anything yet.

I haven't lost hope since we just had a four day holiday but I thought I would ask about what steps I should take if they aren't able to locate it just so I'm not scrambling. I would obviously need a new Canadian passport but how would I get the replacement packet.

Any help you can offer would be great.

Thanks,

FF

Calling Montreal first will help - are you popsitive of the date they put it in the mail? It could have been scanned and waiting at a post office since Apr 1st considering that today is the first 'real' mail day since Easter. If everything was lost, I would assume Montreal would need your new passport before issuing the new VISA.

Good luck though

Hi- Just to let you know that our envelope which was supposed to be there by a Tuesday morning didn't show up in the system until late Thursday evening. We called the post office and they said that because the Consulate in Montreal is such a high volume mail receiver it can take days for it to show up in the system as received. And that was our experience. Also the Easter holiday will REALLY slow things down. Don't give up hope yet.

Actually was reading this thread, since I might have a similar problem:(

So my fiance sent me a bunch of paper-work,by priority mail, like on the 17th of March. It had his I-134,original birth certificate, our orig NOA1 and 2,.I am afraid its lost and this being India,we can never be too sure.

So what happens in the event of a lost NOA2?Is it even needed during the actual visa interview?

I am sorry to post my problem here, but thought people might just suggest something. My interview isnt till the 3rd week of May,but I have submit all the paper-work by the 1st week of May to another agency who then forwards it to the consulate.

I hope you get your package :)
