SSDI an income?

Hello just want to ask is Social Security Disabilty Income(SSDI) consider as income and will be reflected in annual Income tAx? its about $25,500.00 a year($2000+ per month))..will this be okay and safe for 125% poverty minimum for 2 people? plus w/ lets say $23,000.00 savings..will be safe already? what are the next steps to prepare once you got your Noa2?jst preparing in advance.

It's income and it meets the 125% requirement for two.

Wait SSDI might be viewed as Government Support since it is disability income. In that case it is at the discretion of the Consulate as to whether it is viewed as income, it can be excluded.

The consulate needs to determine the likelihood that the beneficiary will become a Public Charge.

SSDI is accepted income. It is considered the same as SS income from retirment. There is no question about it.

Jims post you refer to, and yes, Jim is a respected member, refers to SSI, it does NOT refer to SSDI, SSI is a means tested benefit...welfare income. SSDI is NOT means tested. SSDI is always acceptable income.

It is necessary to include a benefit award letter and check stubs or bank statements showing deposits to verify the income.

It counts.
