My wife and I putting things together for I-130

however, the only thing we need now is her birthday certificate, since her only contact back to her country is her 80+ years old grand mother. Her grand mother is not going any where to help her for her birth certificate. Anything else she can get to replace it? I check the I-130 form check list and it seems she will need A.Church record, B.School record, C. Census record, D.Affidavits. Anyone done that before? I think it will be hard to get if she need to get them while she stay with me in U.S. Any idea on what we can do about it? since her Visa expired on 3/22 2010 she can't come back for a while if she leave U.S. :(

And also, if I have copy of Certificate of Naturalization do I need a copy of birth certification as well?

Please help

Thanks! and have a great day!

I don't know how to help with that first question, regarding getting a birth certificate or affidavits or school records. It sounds like a hard situation, but hopefully someone else can help on that.

To your second question I only submitted my Naturalization Certificate with my application. I did not submit my birth certificate. I did however submit many pages of my US passport as further proof that I had traveled to visit my wife.

CR-1 Visa Was Approved :-)

I moved within Germany, so the city I was born is sorta far away (1,5 hours is alot in Germany :star: ).

So, I just emailed the courthouse, gave them my information (name, birthdate, name of parents) and they just send it to me.

That is what I would do if I was in your shoes: just email the courthouse etc and request whatever you need.

Good luck :)

Thank you so much :) I will do the same since it will not be easy for me to get my birth cetificate as well.

I wish you the best! :)
