Hi, I am just collecting the documents needed for NVC but have some questions I am hoping you can help me with...

1. I have been living in the US with my family for the past 3 years with an H1B visa (working visa). Will I need police clearance from the United States too? I am now in the Philippines, but have been here for less than 3 months. I am getting a police clearance from here for the past years I have been living here... but I dont know if I should get one from the States as well since that is where I have been for the past 3 years.

2. I have been filing my taxes in the United States while I was there on a working visa. I was the one earning while my hubby was studying. Would anyone know how much income is needed for him to be able to claim me?

Thanks for your help!

You don't need a police certificate for the United States, they do their own background checks for immigrants they know spent time in the US

What do you mean 'claim' you? Claim you how? As a dependent (can't do that because you were earning money)? He should file as married filing jointly/separatly as fits his situation the best

Good luck
