Good Morning everyone!

Welcome Ken and Kate!

Gosh, wouldn't that be awesome if we got an interview that quick???!!!

I'll be calling later this afternoon to see if it's logged in.

And Wishing, I booked my medical interview as well for May 21st. I figured I'd get it out of the way.

Keep you all posted!

So I'm assembling what I need to bring to the interview...I'm having a little OCD with the paperwork:) :energy:

So far in my lovely dollar store folder I have:

-Copy of I-129F originally mailed with pictures etc. to CSC

-Originals and copies of NOA 1 & NOA 2

-Package 3 Contents from MTL Embassy (letter, checklist and medical instructiones)

-Birth Certificate & Copy (Need to obtain translation)

-Passport Picture Page Copy

-Police Certificate and Copy

-Pictures (5 or 7? passport type pictures)

-Updated Intent to Marry Letter

-Affadavit of Support (I-134)

-Evidence of Support

-Evidence of Domicile

-Copy of Package 3 Documents I mailed to the consulate*

(* Cover page, 1x DS 160 confirmation, 1x DS-160 full, 2x DS-156, 1x DS-230, 1x DS 156-K, Signed checklist)

-Proof of ongoing Relationship

Now I am have yet to double check my immunization...schedule a medical interview...

My question is...for the forms I sent back to Montreal, particularly the DS-156 that has the passport type pictures on it there is a little confusion. I mailed in 2 originals, ie both signed both with the same passport type picture on it. For the interview do I make 2 more originals of this form with passport pictures, or just the photocopies of the DS-156 that I already sent to the consulate? (Maybe I wasn't supposed to send these originals...!?)

Thanks!!

Mummm, maybe someone can add to that, but I didn't send any pictures yet. I just downloaded the one for the form online (DS-something). In the embassy info section, they have a list of what to bring to the consulate... And passport pictures are to bring to the interview. You'll need some for the medical interview as well.

Quick question for you though... What are evidence of domicile? We need that for K-1 visas? And what's immunization?

I sent a digital photograph image (passport type) with the online DS-160. As well with the DS-156 I stapled a picture to each copy on I believe it is the front page of the DS-156 form has a box for the picture.

Evidence of Domicile is proof from the Petitioner, that they are living in the US and intend to continue living in US. So we are making copies of rent/lease document, Driver's license/state ID, letter from employer (which is part of evidence of support...), etc. It was listed in my MTL consulate letter as needed, although I oringally had thought that was more important for DCF or CR-1 applications. Oh well can't hurt to have the Evidence of Domicile either way!!

proof of domicile is for CR1 applications only. they use the same checklist for both types of visas..

the petitioner does need the letter from their employer to provide income proof, with the affidavit of support.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering what we needed to provide for evidence of domicile too. I thought work stubs and bank notes and a letter of employer would be good enough!

I didn't sent no passport photos in with my DS-156. I only uploaded my passport picture to the DS-160. If it where me I would bring two extra passport photos, just to be sure to the interview.

Ok, whoever can help me i'd really appreciate it. haha. I have the P3 and i'm about to start filling out the forms.

1. The DS-230 says just part 1, so does that mean i just fill out part 1 and send that back and disregard part 2?

2. The DS-160 when I'm done filling the one out will the confirmation appear and just print it out? (It says ds-160 available online, then after a couple forms on the P3 says Confirmation page at same location)

I just want to be really sure and not screw up. Thanks so much!

Immunization is your proof of vaccinations (Im bringing my carnet de santé to the medical, then I imagine we will have a more official form of proof of immunization from that).

Im thinking might as well have some proof of domicile either way (for him and me). It's so easy to bring and one less thing to stress about.

Hi alaba, Congrats on getting your P3!

For the DS-230 you only have to fill out part 1. I only printed and sent in part 1, hopefully this is correct. You might want to make sure about this with someone else.

When you are all finished with the DS-160, it will give you three options. One is to print the conformation receipt, the other is to print out all the pages from the DS-160 form and the other is to send the conformation receipt to your email. I believe this is the only time you'll be able to print out all the pages with your filled in information so make sure you get your pages printed. As well as your conformation receipt.

You have to send back the:

Conformation receipt (one page)

All information filled in from the DS-160 form. (should be around 3 to 4 pages, depending on all the information you provide)

and remember to always save after you fill each page on DS-160. That way you won't have to start all over again.
