J & J: Congrats on the P3!! So you're going to Texas too?? Which city? I'm going to Dallas/Plano! :)

Vero & Chris: Yeah, that was a really weird question, i put 50 years, but i guess they know about that, they won't really consider this question to trick us!

I called today to see if they got some new interview dates set up, and nope... I bet next week they'll give a next batch of it, we all hope for it

Ah, that's awesome! Things are moving along, aren't they! I sure wish it'd go faster, but, he, the longest part of our wait is being us now!

J & J, if you need anything, let us know, and good luck with filling out everything!

Thanks AandB, I was gonna put 50 years too, but I got so frustrated after a while! I thought about that question so long I had to redo the whole thing because the application time had expired!

Valerie78, don't worry too much, Montreal seems a little slow (that's an understatement) and there was Easter weekend too not long ago, so, that could be a reason why it's slow. Keep bugging DOS!

Well, I'm so happy we're all keeping each other posted! I don't feel alone in the world anymore!

Cheers!

Welp, I got everything done yesterday :D with a little bit of a panic attack, but I got it all settled. Thanks again AandB for all the help. Luckily I was saving everything, so I was able to print it all out. I'm going to be sending it off tomorrow and i'm going to get my police clearance done Friday.

What is everyone else here doing about the medical? are you guys waiting for the p4 to make a appointment?

Nice, congratulations! :)

yeah... Im going to wait to get my medical done... Im scared senseless of needles so Im in no hurry to get that done.

I was thinking once you guys get your P3 logged in, we could work it out so we each call DOS on different days and, of course, keep each other posted. That way we wont feel the urge to call too often and get disappointed.

Police certificate good for 90 days? where from? unsure.gif

Usually in canada the police cert is valid for 6 months, and the consulate actually considers it valid for 1 year.

I almost got super stressed about the 90-days thing, but i'm pretty sure it's valid for a year (or at least 6 months), as Kizza said.

I'm willing to help with the DoS calling thing. My fiancé called yesterday and there was nothing. If someone can call tomorrow or friday it would help :P

The lady at my local police station told me it was valid for 90 days but she was old and didn't understand what I meant when I said VISA so who knows.

That's an awesome idea to call on different days! I can call tomorrow at 11:30 if ya'll want! They just received mine today, so I know it's not logged in, but I can spare 20 minutes of my time!

I'm pretty sure that police certificate are good for 1 year. I posted a question on that a little while ago, and a senior member said they were good for a year... I'll double check in my P3 to make sure though...

You know, I was gonna wait for the P4 for my medical too, but I'm scared the office will be closed at some point during summer, and with our luck, it'll be right in the middle of our P4s and interviews... I didn't see anything anywhere that states it has to be more recent than 3 months, so I was thinking of booking an appointment in June. Which office are you guys going to go with?

So, I have a little worry (because we already don't have enough of those) I sent my P3 through Xpress Post, but did not require a signature... I sent it to the adress on the P3, like asked. Do you guys think I should have requested a signature, or am I just trying too hard to find problems?

Let me know what ya'll think!

And I'll call DOS tomorrow to keep you posted!

I just send out my package this morning with priority regional next day AM.. The lady told me it should get there next day by noon. I also got the signature option... Hopefully someone will sign for it..I'm worrying again..lol I hope we didn't have to put our case number on our envelope because I didn't.. but I did write it on all our paperwork (every page)hehe so I'm sure it should be ok.

Vero and Chris..I don't think it should be a problem.. If the tracking says they got your package then they have it :D I'm worrying about the signing part now.. hopefully someone will be there to sign for it...

The joys of being a worry ward!

Vero & Chris, don't worry about it, i send it by express post too without a signature. I sent it on march 18th, it was delivered in MTL on march 19th at 7am, and i only got logged on march 26th. If it says it was delivered, you're ok!!

And if you call tomorrow as you said, you'll only know if your P3 was logged or not, not really if interview dates were set up yet, unless you're really lucky, and if it's the case, tell us so we can call too! :P

Yeah, I was thinking that too after I posted that, I was like : 'man wouldn't that be nice if it was logged and had an interview date on the same day!'... But I'll call next Friday I think to see if it's been logged, so someone can go ahead and call tomorrow to see if there's any interview dates yet!

Keep us posted!!!
