You know, I'm gonna be off work soon when school's out, I could volunteer at the consulate to organize dates! I'd be more than happy to help if they need some!

This is CRAZY! Gosh, I'm at the point where this is more comical than devastating really!

So do you guys know what airlines usually has the best fare for US travels?

But eh, there's always tomorrow (HUGE knock on wood)

Cheers! (Oh, and by the way, Brenda2010 , I can't wait until tomorrow for our virtual cocktails, Pina Coladas are on their way!)

I always cross the border to the US and fly out to Texas when I travel, we always take continental. It's the cheapest most of the time. It really just depends on what season it is. Continental and Delta seem to like to compete for the cheapest airfare for my designation. I always book on the third week before I leave, usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are the cheapest ticket prices. Don't know if this will help you much, but thought i'd share :)

Happpy Belated Birthday mandaNchris AGAIN! lol :P

Beantown79: Good luck with your medical and your interview that is coming up soooon! :)

J&J,

Thanks for the info! I don't know, I spoke to someone going through this process and she visited her fiancé while waiting for a date and apparently she got drilled pretty bad the two times she crossed the border to fly from the US, but had no problem flying directly from Montreal... I don't know what to do...

AandB,

I guess we don't have any modalities... Last Friday I guess we were all down because we didn't have a date yet, so we starting drinking... I just couldn't wait for tomorrow, Pina Coladas were calling me...

Ken and Kate,

I think your date will be fine... I don't see why they would wait until September to give us dates... There's really no reason why we're still waiting actually... And our NOA2 are expiring soon, and even though they'll automatically extend it because of the delays with Montreal, I don't think they like to extend it for too long either...

And who knows, maybe tomorrow will be our lucky day!

:D

I did the same as J&J, crossed to Buffalo, then flew out of there once I saw how much cheaper the fares were travelling domestic. Delta and Continental did seem cheaper than the others, Id get to fly from Buffalo, NY to San Jose, CA for $200-250 round trip. Follow J&Js advice for farehunting, also check the aggrigator sites, Ive been using kayak.com but the others are ok too.

When crossing the border by land or air, bring ties to Canada, dont lie, but never ever give them more than they asked for when questioned.

So I compiled a little list from the VJ stats of the past 2 years interviews for K1's coming out of Montreal. Kinda cool to see the trends. Yes I have too much time on my hands!!! :hehe: You can now all post your theories LOL

**I don't know how to fix the spacing so that the numbers appear better however in the box before I post this message all the interview numbers are neatly lined up. In any case...

Well, just called, 'eligible but no date assigned'. God I hate those words!! I'm leaving work early today, heading up to the cottage - my drink of choice this evening for virtual cocktails will be beer...well, starting with beer, will no doubt switch over to a nice Pinot Noir at dinner.

Good luck all who've yet to call, good weekend!

Brenda2010,

Joining you for beers too! Enjoy the cottage!

Wishing,

Yep, you can say that we have lost hope, at least I have!

To everyone,

Should I book my flight now and save money or take a chance and wait until next Friday evening to see if dates were assigned?
