Hello,

This is a question to all the Ontario people who got there long form birth certificate.

I got my long form birth certificate at the end of 2009. I've been reading a lot lately about what the birth certificate is sapost to look like... and now it's making me wonder..lol

They sent me a long paper with a certified photostatic print of a record.. it is from the office of the registrar general of Ontario.. it has all my registration numbers and certificate numbers on it, with the date it was issued and filed. In the middle of the form it is just a photocopy of what my mom filled out on a form when I was born and then at the very bottom it does say it is a certified copy with a signature of the deputy registrar general and it has a sealed stamp...

I'm guessing this is plenty enough.. I was just expecting to actually have a actual print out of a certificate.

Anyone else's like this????

The certified copy we got for my wife's long-form birth certificate was the same; it was accepted without issue.

I called today at 4:15 waited on hold for 15 mins, i could barely understand the lady and no interview date yet.... from what i could understand of what all she said.

Life is like a roller coaster. Hold on tight and enjoy the ride!

Sounds like the lady I got the other day! She was the nicest but I could barely make out what she was saying! But I guess 'no interview' is pretty clear, no matter what the accent!

haha yes the "no date set" was very clear. when she said "you wont get a date untill montreal looks at your case" wasnt all that clear to me. I was like hmm didnt they already look at it and say I was able to get a date?? lol she also told me she had to carefully look through my case and thats why i was on hold for 15 mins. I was like you had to look through my case??? and she said yes. i was a bit confused as to why she had to do that when all the other times i called they had no problem telling me right away there was no date. I knew i shouldnt have called today. She just annoyed me and i didnt want to be annoyed on my birthday lol Its ok i got over it.

Off to my medical tomorrow in MTL!!! should be fun. I work at a hospital here so I had to get a lot of vaccines before i started working so I have all them so hopefully the $215 will be it!!! Just heard its Grand Prix in MTL this weekend so hopefully the traffic isn't that bad at 9:15 when I land, then I am off to Boston to see my fiance for the weekend and to pick up all the documents for the interview sooooooooooooooo excited

Aug 23 2010 - mailed via USPS overnight courier to USCIS

Aug 24 2010 - received a USCIS at 11.40am signed for by Chyba

Sept 1 2010 - received email and text confirmation for AOS,EAD,AP

Sept 7 2010 - received hard copy of NOA1 for AOS,EAD,AP

Sept 10 2010 - received biometrics apt letter for Oct 1, attempting walkin Sept 17

Sept 17 2010 - successful walk-in biometrics apt

Sept 20 - EAD and AOS touched

Sept 27 - received email and text at 7:30pm that my AOS was transfered to CSC (yeah no interview)

Sept 29 - case touched, arrived at CSC received email and text from USCIS

Oct 4 - AOS touched

Oct 6 - AOS touched

Oct 7 - AOS touched again!!!!

Oct 14 - AOS touched again!!!

Oct 15 - AOS touched again

Oct 19 - AP approved (no email or text notification of approval)

Oct 21 - EAD approved received text and email of card production ordered.

Oct 25 - Received Hardcopy of AP in the mail

Oct 29 - Received another text that EAD card was mailed (post decision activity)

Nov 1 - Received EAD card in the mail

Nov 9 - RFE for vaccination record transcribed over to I693 form

Nov 13 - Found Dr. who would complete just the vaccination part of the form yeaaaah!!!

Nov 17 - USCIS received my RFE response papers in California

Dec 3 - Received email and text confirmation that my case was updated from RFE to RFE review response

Dec 9 - Green Card approved, never received any email or text and my USCIS case still shows in RFE Response review

Dec 14 - Received my approval notice and welcome to America letter advising it was approved Dec 9th

Dec 17 - Green card received, finally done with USCIS for 2 years

Good luck today for your medical! And I wouldn't worry about a thing, it's pretty basic...

You should be ok traffic wise since Medysis -assuming that's where you're going - is far from the track... Well, I guess you never know with Montreal and crazy French drivers (I'm allowed to say that by the way because I'm one of them)... Have fun in Boston, that city is awesome, and I'm sure your hubby is too!

Well, I'm off to doing not much! Oh, star_shine had her interview yesterday and said it was ridiculously easy. She was approved fyi...

Happy Belated birthday mandaNchris!!

Yeah star_shine was approved yesterday and said it was very easy. I remember saying that too, right?? :lol: I know what you guys feels because before going to the interview i was totally freaking out, but it's so easy that we all stress for nothing. I really suggest you guys to find ways to relax yourselves because the interview was one of the most non-stressful part of the process!

There's another VJ member with an interview this morning, and another one tomorrow. I can't wait to know what's the result of it!

And hang in there, you'll have your interview dates soon!! :thumbs:

01/12/2011: GreenCard approved!!!!

Green card expiration date: 01/05/2013
Sent ROC package to VSC: 11/16/2012
NOA1: 11/20/2012

Approval: 04/29/2013!!!!
