Gosh, I was gonna call, but now I'm not gonna waste money on that since you called... Where are those interview dates???

I just read AandB's review and it's a good start for the month of June!!! Hopefully it goes well for all of us!

I must say I'm a little stressed and freaked by the interview, I'm gonna go file up my documents and put everything in order, maybe it'll fill my control-freak needs...

Well, I dunno, I might call anyways, if I have good news, I'll let you know...

Hey everyone,

Well, I hate to say this, but I have a bad feeling... CR-1/IR-1 interview dates were given to a handful of people, and from looking at their thread, a lot of them are still waiting on dates, and haven't received them yet. I don't know if Montreal is gonna wake up again on Friday and hand some more, but I'm starting to come to the fact that interviews for K-1s might be more in August than in July. If as a rule the consulate needs to give 4 weeks notice for interviews, then we need to have dates on Friday the 4th for any interview dates on the first week of July.

Praying hard that we do! I did not get a very helpful person yesterday on the phone, and I asked her if she had any idea when I would get a date, and all she could say was that 'all looks good, but they are still waiting for a date to become available'...

I might try again this afternoon, but I'm starting to feel like I'm just wasting my time... But I'm sending all of us good vibes for Friday - or maybe today, who knows at this point!

I think I remember someone saying that back in Oct. 2009/ Nov. 2009 some people got as little as 2 weeks notice for their interview, so do not despair. It is only June 2. I have a feeling that the magic "June 4 fee increase" might have more to do with the lack of interview dates than anything else.

I agree with that, its probably a nice delay to be sure everyone that submitted after a certain date gets to pay more :(

Yeah what you guys are saying makes a lot of sense... I guess we'll find out on Friday won't we!

If it turns out to be true, you guys are official Montreal-crazy-timeline-to-interview-geniuses! Gosh, do I ever wish you guys are right!!!

maybe some of the K1 appointments are based on when your NOA2 is valid till ?

For example, My fiance's is valid till July 7th so she might be able to get an interview around that timeframe. how about you guys, how long is yours valid till(see noa2 letter for valid dates)?

Hello!

I'd like to thank VisaJourney for keeping me sane during this process!!

All WAS going smoothly, and rapidly, with my K-1 petition. I had hopes of a June interview and flew to California (with NO problems at the border), to be with my fiance. I FedExed my Package 3 from LA to Montreal on April 6th, and it was received by Montreal the following day. It has been nearly 2 months (57 DAYS!!!) and I am still waiting to be scheduled for an interview. :crying:

I was really starting to panic, but then I began reading the posts on this forum. It is so comforting to know that I am not alone in this!

I am going to phone the DOS tomorrow. I didn't know it was OK to call and have been emailing Montreal instead. I sent my first email one month ago and have yet to get a response. I don't even know if my Package 3 has been logged!!!

Hopefully we will all hear some good news from Montreal soon!!

I am flying back to Toronto June 13th and plan on scheduling my medical ahead of receiving Package 4.

Good luck to you all!!!!

netguy:

I was told a while back that our NOA2 will automatically be extended because of the delays with Montreal, so I don't think it'll have much weight in the balance...

Rose416:

Welcome to our thread of impatience, frustration and despair! We're all hopeful tht we'll get interview dates soon, especially since some CR-1ers have started getting theirs for the end of July...

mandaNchris:

Don't worry about the medical, really it's more of a long wait than anything else. Because for me, if they had done everything all at once, it would have been less than 30 minutes...

And finally, called DOS as well and nothing yet! Maybe Friday!

Yup nothing new here yet on the interview front...my fiance and I even tag teamed it today tho. I've been calling every day now for a couple weeks and he made a "bet" with me, for me not to call until Friday. Well he called earlier today for me instead, haha :)

Hope we get some good news on Friday...wow our list of people who are waiting for interview dates is growing. Well this just means we are THAT much closer to finding out the date. With this many people waiting its only a matter of time, a small amount of time I hope!! :jest:
