Hello All,

I would too like to find out the interview date soon, but I also feel like my to-do list for moving is just ever growing and the date will come so soon either way!! I find it helpful to try and get these other things done and planned...changes of adress list, financial stuff planned out in the coming weeks as the time will go by oh so fast!

Lets go ahead with our plans of daily calls...can't hurt right @ Vero and Chris?

Wishing: I love how you think!!! I'll be calling on Tuesday then! Hopefully you'll have good news tomorrow!

I've been packing a lot of things, and I wonder if it'd be better to send it by mail, or bring everything in luggages on the flight... I have a lot of books and cds and am worried it'll be a lot to mail... Dilemma...

Yeah I've decided to go with UPack/ABF as they do terminal to terminal service. We were going to do UHaul but it'll cost waaaay more by the time you account for the truck, fuel, hotels on the route etc.

As for mail, I have previously mailed stuff to US through Fedex but only because we have a discount due to my fiance's job, lucked out there! If you search VJ there are Q/A's regarding shipping items via USPS/Fedex etc.

How many boxes do you expect to have @ VeroandChris?

Hi again!

Wishing: thanks for the info!

Turns out I have three boxes of 10 pounds each to ship. Then, I was able to fit lots into 2 suitcases. So basically, I'll be checking in 3 suitcases and will have a carry-on beside my purse. I think Air Canada will charge around 130$ for the extra two checked-in suitcases, but that's probably cheaper than having them shipped there through Fed Ex or UPS... What do you guys think?

Oh, and around what time will you be calling tomorrow, Wishing, so I can pop on here and see that interview dates are being assigned? :P

Have a good night, let's hope this week brings good news!!!

:energy:

Oh! And I just checked on Canada Post's website, and with the measurements and weight of the boxes, it would be around 25$ each to send... Not bad!! I think I'll be using that!

Haha! J & J, I'm exactly like that too! Will be calling Friday as well for SURE! I'll call tomorrow two, around 3 o'clock. Will see what Wishing has to report later on! Hopefully good news!!!

And Wishing, I had the "priviledge" of being in an awful relationship prior to meeting Chris, and lost most of my stuff... That's why my life can be packed in 3 suitcases and 3 boxes! Gee, sounds a little weird to put that down!!!

Good luck today when calling!

Well just got off the phone with DOS...no wait at all for an operator.

Apparently the person at DOS I talked to last week that said my P3 was logged in was in error, or I misunderstood what they said. The operator today told me that it hasn't yet been logged in. She also said that Montreal is very behind...which is the usual story they give anyways from what I've heard...

So I think I will likely be calling every day this week until I do get a confirmation that it has been logged in!!:clock:

Anybody have any more exciting news?? :goofy:

Don't worry Wishing, I'm sure if you call tomorrow, you'll get another story, yet again! I'm gonna call here in about 30 minutes see what they have to say. Last time I called, the lady said that I was "elligible for an interview" but no interview date had been set yet.

Well, we've got 4 more days to the week!

Keep you all posted!

Hey @Vero and Chris sorry to hear about loosing your stuff from a previous relationship, that sucks. Here's to the start of a new life in the US, which will soon be reality for all of us:)

As you said 4 more days to the week to find out more info, yay!
