I'm not sure if this is where I should post this. Anyways I came here on a vistor's visa well not visa I'm canadian. We got married and are petitioning for AOS. The problem is that my husband has been unemployed for 9 years and is totally dependant on his mother. He is dual citizen and lived with me in Canada until 2005. He's been trying to get work now. His mother is going to co-sponsor me and she makes well over the 125% for 4 people. Is it possible we could get denied? If by the time he goes to the interview he has only been working for a couple of months what do we do? I'm worried his lack of employment in all that time will make them denie us. What should we do?

My husband had just got a job when we applied so he didn't have pay stubs or anything to send in so we sent a letter stating he just received employment. You could just attach a letter explaining that he hasn't worked in 9 years but now he is actively looking for a job etc. If there is any particular reason he has not been working you should add that in there as well. I wouldn't think it would matter but i really have no idea. If he does get a job before the interview you could just bring pay stubs and explain that you would be working as well if that is what you want to do!
