Thanks guys,

So I got the DS 3032 notice\bill today both in the mail and email. Even though the NVC system said that the notice was mailed to me on March 30th the date stamp on the postage states it was mailed on the 5th of April.

Anyways I made the payment online as soon as I got it. I will now fill out the the I-864. Question since taxes for this year are not due till next week I will only submit the taxes from 2008, 2007 and 2006 do you think that will be an issue? Also am I correct in assuming that the will be a checklist with the I864?

Sachinky

Question you make mention of a cover sheet, are you talking about the cover sheet that is listed in Bills shortcuts, can you please clarify?

The noob thanks you :)

Once your payment clears you will have access to a BARCODED COVER SHEET. Print that out and place it on TOP of your package and then overnight it to NVC.

I'd suggest sending in the 2009 taxes as well. It's close to April 15, and they're gonna wanna look at it soon enough. File NOW if you haven't already.

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking about the bar coded cover sheet. I went online again just for kicks saw that my IV bill was ready so I went ahead and paid that too. Interestingly my AOS bill was paid last nite around 8pm and it is already appearing on my bank transactions list as in the process of being processed (I know redundant huh).

So I will get the I-864 filled out and ready to go. Question about taxes again since 2009 have not been filled out and submitted will the NVC accept my tax return even if it has not been approved by the IRS? I think what I will do is send them the tax return from 2009 even if it is not accepted my the IRS and then 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Any thoughts to my plan of action.

Thanks

you have 1 year to submit documents to NVC. With that in mind,

and the Tax Filing deadline coming up soonish ..

suggest you stall a bit, until you get the TY 2009 return finished up.

I suggest - for TY 2009 - full 1040 with forms/schedules/w-2s/1099s/1098s, then

tax transcripts from TY 2008 and 2007 - you can get these faxed to you from the IRS, usually same day.

Olla wanted to get confirmation on something. I paid the AOS fee so when it shows up as paid on the online portal can I print out the barcode sheet and mail in the I-864 forms or should I wait for the forms to arrive from the NVC.

Also I paid the IV fee 12 hours or so after the AOS fee was paid will that cause any issues you think? I had paid the AOS fee and when I went back to the online portal the next morning it showed that the IV fee bill was available so I went ahead and paid that too.

Thanks

No problem. Your IV bill will clear soon as well.

If your AOS bill is showing as PAID, then goodness, just print the darned cover sheet out, assemble your package and overnight it to NVC.

You don't have to wait for anything from NVC.

If you are using the online payment portal, do not WAIT for 'forms' to be mailed to you.

You could wait, of course, but that will add 1 to 3 months for each set of things .

Tell Olla that things have changed since she learned about this process (and tell her I said so, as well ! )

paying IV fee bill - no - no issues.

Usually, ppl who want speed during NVC processing, will mail in each 'set' after the online payment portal marks something as 'paid'.

Good Luck !

Ok so I got the PAID notice on the online payment system for both the AOS and IV fee. I am going to mail out the I-864 packet tomorrow but have to wait a little for the IV packet b\c the required docs are still getting prepped.

Does anyone who applied for a Pakistani beneficiary know if the DS230 section II should not be signed?

Thanks

DS-230 Part II is signed at the Consulate/Embassy, in front of a Visa Official, on interview day. DO NOT SIGN IT prior.

Good Luck !

Thanks for the heads up on the DS230 guys.

I have mailed off the I-864 and am waiting for my wife to send me her birth cert and police certs so that I can submit the DS 230 package as well.

Question does the address on a beneficiaries application need to match the address on her passport or national ID card (this is an id card issued by the Pakistani govt)?

Thanks

re: address - make sure it's the CURRENT address - as she'll be getting a P4 packet (I THINK? )

forget what's on the ID - make sure it's the CURRENT address.

UHM - for DS-230 - don't forget -

the marriage certificate (original) plus a photocopy

plus photocopies of the birth certificate and the police certificate (ya, and the originals)

will i get the original documents returned back to me? also my wife has yet to receive any snail mail documents(letters) from the NVC. They have been however emailing us items such as the AOS bill and most recently they emailed us the Instruction Packet Agent which made reference to Applicant Document Processing which I am assuming is is the DS 230 forms? Can I expect that the NVC is going to send me and my wife all correspondence via email then?

Thanks

Yes, you can expect them to email all correspondense to your wife. Your wife can log into the payment portal as well and click on appolicant document processing which will step her through the DS-230 package requirements.

Don't forget - for the DS-230 she will also need to send you 2 x passport style photos with NVC casde #, name & DOB written on back. Have you joined the NVC April thread? :star:
