Wonder if... among the vast collective knowledge of VJ if anyone is aware of a web service I could use as a fax number. I get an unreal amount of faxes of which, half the pages are meaningless.

It would be cool if these faxes would go to a web account where I could print the ones I needed.

Also, I use a Mac.

See if you can have the faxes sent to your email instead. My main supplier uses vsi-fax. Everything comes in now as a pdf.

Paper is cheap. It's the printing supplies that add up fast. And I just noticed that my fax supplies are now over in the "no longer stocked" shelf at Officemax.

I believe it is a server program. A company can load up all their outgoing communications, such as emails and faxes, and those are delivered in off peak times, when the system load is low, and so are the phone rates.

Use internet fax like Onesuite. They got unlimited receiving only for $1/monthly which comes with a fax number and goes straight to your email. Like what you've said, print only those fax you need to print.

my voip provider 'auto-senses' incoming faxes, diverts them, then sends them to me as an email, also stores them on a web portal for me to delete or retrieve.

if you use a voip service already, maybe it's there, as a feature, that you've not turned on ?
