I just got married on the 26th of March to the love of my life. I was wondering if anyone can suggest which to file IR-1/CR-1 or K3! My husband is in Romania and wanted to know which one is best and fastest. Please help...

10-04-2010 NVC Received our file

10-12-2010 NVC case number assigned and emails provided

10-15-2010 Emailed DS-3032

10-20-2010 IIN number received; DS-3032 & AOS Bill

10-21-2010 PAID AOS FEE BILL

10-26-2010 Sent completed I-864

11-03-2010 DS-230 packet and documents sent express mail

11-08-2010 AOS Entered into NVC

11-08-2010 DS-230 Packet delivered at NVC signed by K. Peters

11-20-2010 IV entered into NVC

11-26-2010 SIF yahoooooo :)

11-30-2010 CASE COMPLETED in 57 days

12-01-2010 Interview date assigned

12-02-2010 Case forwarded to consulate

12-06-2010 Case received by consulate in Bucharest

The K-3 is dead. File for CR-1. Start with the I-130. Read the guides.

03/26/2012: Biometrics completed.
12/07/2012: 10 year card production ordered.

09/25/2013: N-400 NOA1

10/16/2013: Biometrics completed

12/03/2013: Interview

Cr-1 is best it takes little longer than K-3 but when ur spouse moved to usa no need to do some paper works

Cr-1 is best it takes little longer than K-3 but when ur spouse moved to usa no need to do some paper works

6-9 months is a fair window from start to arrival in USA... K3 is not an option (well, they will let you file it, however it will slow down the process and be administratively closed)... So CR1

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!
