Morning Commies!

Dear *insert whatever divine name here* !!!

Just got an email from my future employer. Now they want reference letters from my supervisor.

1. I'm not doing this because it's uncommon in Germany

2. All my jobs have been a long time ago (quit my last one in 2006)

3. All of my jobs were unpaid internships or student part-time ones

4. My last one was at a place with a huge change in personnel (all students, can't even remember my co-workers last names, they were never listed with last names on the phone list)I'm pretty sure nobody remembers me there...

5. My HR person can't call international numbers

6. How should I come up with any reference letters when the job starts in 3 weeks? They couldn't figure that out 4 weeks ago?

I told her all that, I let her figure it out.

Maybe they will be willing to accept a recommendation letter from someone who knows you locally, like a pastor or someone?

Ha, ha, I'll have the whole Budget Office of the Airbase write one, and maybe one from a person who works in the prison here

Unfortunately no pastor, not going to church...

Val, I most certainly would name you! I wonder what you come up with. "worships the spirits to fully content.." or such...

I tried playing pirates a while ago, but FB games are just way too slow and they clutter my profile.

just don't post things from the game to your profile. the only one i have post to profile is mafia wars and castle age - and then i delete them after a day or so.

Good morning, Cheeto!

The only advise I can give is.... F-em'.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Good morning Nagi!

Thanks for the advice, that's what I'm intending to do. I don't even know if I can work that long for them because on the weekend a great opportunity opened for my hubby, we'll know more in 3-6 months. All I can say is that it includes a huge pay raise and relocation to North Florida. And we're so hoping that he will get the job (prayers are very much appreciated)

I'm brushing up on my German accent right now.

I really would like to hear your "accent"

My German accent? OK, think Liam Neeson in Schindler's List. Then realize that I absolutely suck at voice impersonations and can not even fake a decent accent.

I just wanted to think about Liam Neeson. luv.gifluv.gifluv.gif

Hi Nagi & Nina!

Nagi - Good to hear you got some sleep. I felt a lot better this morning too. I took a cruise there with my family when I was younger but I think I would appreciate it more now than I did when I was younger.

Hello Chrito, Val, Charles :) :) :)

I had a very good day today. Now I'm sitting here drinking some nice cold water and listening to music. I had a late lunch so I'm trying to decide if I really feel lik cooking anything tonight or not. I'm thinking not. My sister can figure it out herself.
