I'm sleepy. I don't know if I want to take a nap yet. My sis made great use of her time while I was away. She got her teeth whitened, hair colored, nails done

She can have that done at home. When does she fly back?

And I have been meaning to ask - has she never traveled before? How is it that you are so well-traveled, but your sister can't handle it?

She's never really went anywhere besides short family vacations. Infact, we have timeshares through RCI and my grandparents have a house in Costa Rica (they rent it out through a vacation company), but no one EVER uses them. They end up using the stupid RCI weeks for something like Disney. It's so weird. No one else has any desire to go anywhere. I'm the only person in my family who has moved away from the town I'm from, I left as soon as I could. I went to college the first time in Los Angeles and moved to Europe after I finished. I'm happier when I'm away from them, but my sister doesn't want to be away. She leaves in 12 days.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

On another note, you going to Blue Oyster Cult this weekend, Nina?

I need new clothes in a bad way and I buy everything at the thrift store. Im just too lazy to go there and look . I do hate shopping.

They just opened a thrift store down the way from me. I'm going to go check it out and see if it is a good one next week.

It was weird - the one in Oakville, ON (highest per capita income in Canada) was #######, while the one in Niagara Falls, NY (a VERY depressed economy) was awesome for great work outfits.

My husband grew up poor and his parents had to buy his clothes from thrift stores. So he has issues about going to thrift stores now.. But he was impressed with the stuff I found yesterday.

I don't know if they are sold out or not. But, we have ours!

I need to drive down to Rosenberg this weekend to see my momma, so I think I am going to pass on Blue Oyster Cult. She is pissed at me for bailing out on her last weekend :help:

it was a scorcher yesterday.....95

and today 90 again

tho i love the hot weather and sun the air is too thick

i have to get out for some new duds too

i like to shop but not so much at thrift shops

too much picking and sorting thru and i never seem to have the time

but i am not against it at all and have had my share buying and /or consigning

i used to make a small fortune doing that when my kids were small and outgrowing their clothes/toys and equipment

trying to get my teen to go look at dresses, for her 8th grade dinner/dance, at thrift shops but lil brat thinks she's above that...really gets me :angry: cuz you can find real nice treasures there I swear

esp when you go to ones that are in the richer areas

we have what is called PLATO's CLOSET here in PA

fairly new chain

dunno if you heard of it

btw i had no time to revel in the FLYERS WINNING THE EASTERN CONFERENCE :dance::dance:

We did it!! Very exciting playoff season this year...they kicked major ####### and now it's on to the finals with the

Chicago Blackhawks...we start Saturday

today is our pep rally in south philly

curious to see how that will go :dance::devil:
