Not much. Doing a few bills for my brother, making a few phone calls, I should be reading but it doesn't look I'm going to get that done. As usual I woke up this morning feeling like someone dropped an anvil on my head an d my name isn't even Wile E. Coyote. Aside from losing your temper (ladies don't lose their temper, they get even :help: ) over some recalitrant #######, how art thou?

England is cold and rainy, it's like that here, too. I'm glad that you were able to fly safley and without incident, that smoke monster is causing more problems apparently. Suzy told us about your sister and her rather voluminous luggage requirements. How many pairs of shoes did Imaelda Marcos pack anyways? Was it hard for her to remove the kitchen sink so that she could take it along.

I have felt so much better over the past week, it is amazing. And hubby and I went camping this past weekend and had an awesome time. He is all sore from the hike we took on Saturday - 7 miles, so I am rubbing it in that it didn't phase me.

My Poor Dear Val,

I beg your indulgence and kindly excuse me if I seem a bit blunt or unkind in my assessment, but CNC is a small, petty man who believes that the only way that his life can have meaning is by irritating people by resorting to odius commentaries. He is as irrelevant in real life as are his inflammatory and incendiary posts in this forum and not worth our time. I don't like to besmirch anyone's reputation but he does a admirable job of doing that in his own right. Miss Val and all the other ladies are far above his station and class will certainly out. :luv: Now, if you'll excuse me, I must return to my natural state, a rather odd fellow with an odd sense of humour....and pink underwear.

This is exactly the reason why I have been trying to wean myself from VJ these days.. I finally understand how Len's felt when she decided to close down her a/c.

Welll...so far I've seen 8 pairs of shoes and she just bought some more today. We barely have room for all the stuff we brought with us so I have no clue why she's buying more stuff. I don't have any pics of the luggage but I have a few pics. We haven't done much yet just because we're so friggin tired. Our flight was delayed a bit and then it took longer because we had to fly around the top of Iceland and back down because of the stupid volcano. We missed our connecting flight in Amsterdam and so they sent us to Heathrow instead of Gatwick (it was the next flight to London) which worked out well with how much luggage we had.

Camping is nice, it reminds me of a poem that combines my love of Africa with my love of camping.

He's sore after walking 7 miles? I don't go hiking but I've been known to go on my own Bataan death marches. Considering my size (my feet give out long before the rest of me does), I don't understand why hubby is sore.

Hi Nina, so nice to have you back, even if it is for a few minutes. I know that eventually I, too, will move on when I am fully healed. Len did indeed get fed up of the rancour and the mean-spirited discussions that seem to characterize every post.

I'm trying to stay out of political threads, to avoid the rancour. However, I find it amazing how they can take an innocuous thread and turn it into a war.

I do think that there is an increasing lack of civility in the threads and the churlish attitude of some of the posters may be just a poor attempt to engage us in a discussion. I eschew political discourse if at all possible, I don't need an ulcer, a stoke or a coronary to go along with all my other problems.

I don't think that I have 8 pairs of shoes in the whole house, slippers included. I wonder what the airlines charge for 300 lbs. of luggage. We're are so looking forward to those pics. Have fun.

the first two suitcases up to 50lbs were free. the other four were $55 each.

the woman at the airport actually told us she had to check to make sure they had enough room for all our luggage

I hate both teams but I hate the Flyers a bit less, mainly because they beat the Devils.
