The 401 is a basket case. 407 is fine but I'm cheap. DVP is a real POS until you get past the 401 to Eglinton exits. Gardiner and QEW aren't as bad as the 401, at least you can see the SkyDome (sorry, Rogers Centre, $25M for a building that cost $625M, #######?????) but nobody figured out that Toronto was going to grow in population. Morons!!!!!! :angry:

I used to commute from Brampton/Mississauga area, so my main arteries were 427/QEW/Gardiner. To a limited extent the 403 and 410. The west end of town is generally better than going across the top on the 401, I agree.

Funny. Yesterday I was posting about my commute in Israel on Highways 2 and 4 to Haifa. Today it's Toronto. Tomorrow I think I'll tell you all about my experiences with the San Tomas Expressway, CA-85, CA-237, I-280 and US-101 between Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Milpitas and Palo Alto. I did that commute for about 3 years.

I hate commuting by car. Long live Metra rail.

No idea. He's probably counting his money somewhere. He wrote the entire score for that movie and DePalma went crazy with the camera angles. Winnipeg is the only place where Phantom of the Paradise was a huge hit. They still have a yearly festival and Paul Williams and some of the other people from the movie show up every few years.
