Oh wow, Sus, I hadn't heard of that one. I haven't checked the news yet this morning. That is awful.

Although, I am surprised CNC has not made a thread about it, blaming it on the federal government.

OMGosh, not another nutjob on the loose. I got a feeling there are sleeper cells located everywhere in the US just waiting to go off.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I got to the point that I would cross the border at Port Huron, when I had to go to Jackson. I hated going through Detroit, and they always had our exit closed, putting up detours that went through nasty parts of town.

I love NYC. It's an awesome place, it really is. If I were single or had no kids that's where I'd live. But with little kids, the suburbs are so much more family friendly. Plus, Luis hates cities.

I think it's left overs here for Porky. The dead lamb who sacrificed it's life, and maybe some pasta, potatoes, rice or all three.

I hope I can convince Porkster to go get me a carry out again tonite. Something tells me he won't budge.

CNC is just nasty. I am waiting for the day Brother Cinco rips him a new one.

This might happen today.

oh commies!

just got a call from my recruiter, interview at the company tomorrow at 11.00, dress professionally. I'm stumped. Should I go shopping and buy a suit for a call center job interview or should I just stick to slacks and a blouse? and btw, it's really really hot here, I'm breaking out in sweat as soon as I step out the door.

that interview really came fast, they told me the interviews won't be before beginning of June and now that, I'm so not prepared. PANIC!

Congrats but this is tough situation. I know that an old trick is to smear yourself with anti-perspirant (sprays work best) just in case, but I've never tried it. I'd be tempted to get the suit or at least a basic blazer made of the lightest fabric they have, that way even if you do sweat it won't be noticeable. If you have a sweaty blouse that will look unprofessional, since they will believe that you are prone to the disheveled look and this might reflect badly on their company. Whatever decision you make will be the right one, I'm sure. How could they not hire you?:luv: VIEL GLUCK!!!!!

If it's not out of keeping with the situation:

N8tive Americans do not have a word for 'good-bye' , so Amby...I will say 'see you later and have a fantastic trip' .

Good afternoon, 5 and sister Y !

Great news for you, Cheeto ! I really cannot advise about what to wear. I have been out of the work force for about 13 years now. All I can do is offer up prayers for you that the interview is a success.

Thanks 5 and Nagi! Asked the recruiter if slacks and a bluse would be ok since it's really really hot, she said that was ok. I'll talk with hubby about that later...

Congratulations Chrito! Just take a deep breath, you're going to do fine. Relax. You can just go with slacks and a nice blouse for that type of job, but I do like Cinco's idea of a light blazer (linen) just in case.
